Trimix efficacy over time

Hello. I've started on Trimix (auto-inject) 2+ years ago with good results, compound is 30/1/0.01, dosage crept up over time from 5-6 units to 10 all under doc's/np guidance. Over the last five weeks results have been less than satisfactory, barely firm enough for intercourse (call it a 6-7 out of 10). I thought perhaps the Trimix aged (7 months) so i refilled but no change. Is this to be expected? Does our body adjust to the med and we require an increased dosage over time? Or should the mix be modified?
Prostatectomy in Feb 2016, 65 years, 20 lbs. overweight, controlled hbp. Perhaps TMI? :)

Thanks!

I've seen alot of posts from men who were using TRI-MIX for years and never developing a tolerance or degraded results....but that was not my experience. I started on the weakest BI-MIX 3 years ago and got 5 hour erections; I'm now using the strongest TRI-MIX and QUAD-MIX available for 30 minute partial erections where if we both lay on our side, I can "scrunch it in". When I started injecting it was like getting a new lease on life, but i did seem to developed a tolerance. I've tried abstaining for a while, to see if I can get the old better results back.....but to no avail . I'm looking at implants now and was surprised to find many on this forum who once injected, actually prefer life with the implant. I personally did not mind excusing myself to inject, as it seemed much less uncomfortable than the humiliation of ED. I'm hesitating on the implant because its a point of no return....i would love to hear what others think.

My Trimix worked well for about three years and then I had to increase its strength every six months until 75 units no longer provided satisfactory results. Not sure whether the loss of effectiveness was a result of developing tolerance or if the cause (Diabetes/veneous leak) of my ED worsened.

Probably both. :(

I'm not a medical professional of any kind. Anything I post is based on my own experiences at best and hallucinations or delusions at worst. Nothing I post should be misconstrues as medical advice. Always ask your doctor and follow his/her advice.

I don't know if your basic cause of ED is changing or worsening or if you're building tolerance.

The volume of meds you're injecting is pretty low by comparison to most users. So you may have a good ways to go toward increasing volume.
If I understand your formula correctly your alprostadil (PGE1) component is low. So you may have a good ways to go toward increasing the strength of your mix.

I added novelty (sex shop) cock rings to the mix. It helps some guys, me included. If you haven't tried that option you might want to consider it. I've given my take on it several times. If interested you'll have to experiment to find what works. You want tight enough to assist without necessitating time limits on use.

Juts a minor update...the NP recommended an increase from 10 units to 12. The thought process is not so much tolerance buildup as much as a natural progression (regression?!) of my ED. Haven't had the opportunity yet :)

You're only injecting 10 unIts? You certainly should increase the amount of units. Keep moving up until you see a difference. The next step would be upping to a stronger formula.

You're not alone on your journey. I was once injecting 130 units -- yes, two needle pokes. My uro and I kept tweaking the formula until we started finding success. Even now I may step up one more level to the strongest formula available.

For some of us, Trimix is a lifelong journey.

To answer the question on my own TRIMIX strength: i currently have 3 prescriptions from 2 different labs I'm trying:

30-10-60
25-3-80
30-2-60-1.5 (QUADMIX)

I now try 50 units on the syringe. Its very hard to get the injection to go smooth, as I think I'm hitting dense scar tissue now.

HISTORY: I did injections for 3 years and it was like being born again. I had amazing results!!! but I began to inject frequently, and I also did not compress the injection site for nearly 5 minutes each time (and I'm sure this lead to the massive scar tissue that accumulated). I did not find excusing myself to the bathroom to be that awkward - but I did find it awkward to still be compressing the injection site while the women was waiting in the other room, and that caused me to "rush the procedure". After dealing with the humiliation of ED, sticking a needle in my penis was nothing to be afraid of. If had it to do over , I do wish I had been upfront with "Some" of the women, especially when we saw each other regularly. They probably thought I was doing cocaine or had some kind of irritable bowel syndrome. Most of the time I kept up foreplay until "they" needed to excuse themselves to pee, and then I either went into another bathroom, or went right in as they came out of the one they were in (as if i too really needed to pee)

Anyway : If I combine 20mg cialis and moderate my drinking/masturbation, and I can get a decent injection where the liquid flows into my penis smoothly: I can still get a good erection, but it pivots at the base (so I have to guide it where I want it to go) I know this is a bit like a person saying they "can hear their stereo" if they turn up the volume &bass & treble to 10. It works right now....but it's not a good long term solution.
