Quad Mix, either 6 hours or nothing

I had temporary internal radiation for prostate cancer 2 years ago. I had been on Cialis, either 5 mg daily or 20 mg when needed for my erections. The erections were not dependable, kind of a 50/50 crapshoot, and even though, barely sufficient for decent sex.

QuadMix with AutoPen insulin injector

I decided to try a Quad Mix injection. At the doctors office I was given 10 units as an initial dose. I had a 6 hour erection, could barely walk it was so strong, and even after taking the Sudafed and Terbutaline under the doctors direction, was very close going to the emergency room.
Second and third tries, the doctor recommended I dial my AutoPen injector down to 6 units. This time, I had a 5 hour erection, even with the Sudafed and Terbutaline
Fourth try, the day after my 5 hour injection, I dialed the injector down to 4 units, and absolutely no effect whatsoever. So, it seems like I am stuck with either a 5 hour erection or no effect whatsoever.
Now, I am not sure if the reason was my penis was tired and bruised from the previous 5 hour erection or if the 4 units were just too low.
One idea I had was to try 5 mg daily Cialis, which by itself, doesn't help me much, along with the 4 unit Quadmix injection when needed. Any ideas as to why the 6 units works so well, the 4 doesn't, and possible solutions?

I don't understand the AutoPen thing and how you're using it. Does some setting on AutoPen determine the dose or just the needle depth? What length needle does it use?

The needle is a 31 gage 5/16 needle, always injected all the way in, alternating sides. The Autopen adjusts the liquid dosage in 0.02 ml increments, from 0.02 ml to .42 ml. So, 0.1 ml of the quadmix for me is way to much, 0.06 ml is still too much, and 0.04 ml doesn't seem to do anything

I don't use an auto injector or an AutoPen. However, it's my understanding from guys that use auto injectors is that you need to use the 1/2" needle adjusted down a bit. I use 5/16 needles but do it manually. It would be my guess that you missed the spot/depth on your last shot. Try a little deeper.

This variety of injector has a static needle though. You do put the needle in first manually, then slide the button which dispenses the proper amount only after the needle is in

What's the advantage of that pen type injector?

I'm still voting for not deep enough.

The advantage I see is I just dial the number of units, stick the needle in, and push the slide. No vials, no filling syringes, etc. I put the pen in the fridge, and it is ready to go whenever I need it

Yeah... Spot on! I would say exactly the same thing as this.
