Trimix Help

Hey guys,

Recently prescribed trimix. The script is 8/22/.08 using 31g 5/16 needles. started at 10 units with some success but the time limit has been sub par, bout 20 min. Have since moved to 30 units but now the last couple of trys the firmness is only 70 - 80 percent.

My question is, is the formula too weak, or is the needle length the issue? Would like to get a solid hour without stress.

Thanks for reading

Did you hit the right spot. Read;; why do some inject and get some blood out. That explains it.

I think I'm in the right spot.. 3 - 9 position. If you're asking if I asperated, no. Haven't tried that, but I also don't get any blood after pulling the needle out.

Pharmacist thought that maybe the needle wasn't long enough, grabbed some 30g .50 length said to bury it to the hub, but that looks like it may hit the urethra.

Thanks for that! I don't think my technique is off by much. I don't get plunger resistance but I'm thinking it's not hitting the sweet spot with the 5/16 needles. First 10 or so trys didn't have any issues with firmness, just length of time. Last couple trys wasn't really firm enough to get excited about. Opened a new vial today for another run tomorrow, was storing the opened bottles in a crap mini fridge, so maybe the potency wore off a bit?

Easy way to aspirate is:: when you push the plunger in, press it hard at the end. That will compress the plunger enough that when you let off, the plunger will relax and draw in a drop of blood. When you pull the needle out, you compress again over a white tissue and will see the blood drop.

Some guys report pretty good shelf life with tri-mix refrigerated. However, alprostadil (PGE1) is supposed to have a very short shelf life when not frozen. The other 2 ingredients apparently do OK. I use mono-mix, as in just alprostadil and saline. I keep mine frozen and just take it out to draw up my syringe and back into the freezer it goes. Only my unopened vials in the back of the freezer actually get solid. It's good for at least 6 months that way with only a little decrease in potency. That's my experience. That's obviously not the official response. As always follow your doctors advice. Based on my understanding your mix isn't strong.

Ok, so after watching the video, I decided to stick with the 5/16 for this A.M try. Tried lower on the base with an attempt to aspirate with the needle in the unit before injecting. After I felt the 2 pops I figured I was in the right spot, so I pulled back on the plunger very slight but did not see blood in the hub. After trying deeper and a bit shallower, still didn't see any blood. Decided to move up the shaft toward the glands with another attempt on aspiration. No luck.. but I did feel the double pop again and tested the ease of the plunger, moved pretty effortless.

Again got 100 percent with a little stimulation from the wife and was able to complete the task, still nowhere near where I would like it to be time wise, goes to chubby after finishing in about 2 min for an hour. Still in the back of my mind that I might lose the firmness. The try was 30 units.

I'm thinking stronger script. Thanks for the replies

Merry Xmas
