Trouble pushing Trimix thru needle?

Postby kilsong » Fri Dec 21, 2018 7:18 am

I don't know what im doing wrong these days.
The last 2 injections have been very hard to actually push the solution thru the needle. Kinda like its stuck. I tap on it to get rid of bubbles when I see them. I get it to room temp and it usually goes right in.
Am I doing something wrong?
Same gauge needle Ive been using for years..

I'm not a medical professional of any kind. Anything I post is based on my own experiences at best and hallucination or delusion at worst. Nothing I post should be misconstrued as medical advice. Always ask your doctor and follow his/her advice.

I don't think you're in the correct spot/depth. You're too deep or not deep enough. Try a little deeper or shallower. Also I thing the tunica can get tougher with use in your favorite spots. Try going a fair bit deeper and see if you feel it push through the tunica and try it but you'll probably need to pull it back out a tad after pushing it deep.

So, push it in your normal depth and try it, if it doesn't go, push in a fair bit deeper and then pull it back out a bit to around your normal depth and try it again. I don't think I explained that well, sorry.

not a medical professional. that being said i've been on super trimix 12 years. i have no idea how many injections i've given myself but it's a lot. i've also given them to others who needed some moral support their first time. the fellow who responded to you first was dead on. anytime i'm having difficulty i push the needle further in. i see it make the indention and can feel it push thru fibrous tissue (scar tissue). that's why choosing different sides and locations of injections is a must. good luck

my tunica was very tough, so I would jab the needle in gently till it hit the tunica. Then I would jab through the tunica. If plunger did not push easily I would jab in a little further. I always bottomed out the plunger at injection. Press hard then let up. Doing that the plunger would draw out just a drop of blood. I would check for blood on a small tissue. Get blood, you know every time that you hit the right spot.
