EDEX quit working after 4 months?

Hello everybody this is my first post and I would really appreciate some feedback from those who have been using injections long term. I have been using EDEX for 4 months, approximately 24 sticks at less than 5mcg with rock hard erections lasting a scary 2 hours most of the time. I am now on a vacation with my wife in Europe and my last 3 sticks have produced no results...I am terrified I have built a tolerance rapidly? My history - I am 40 years old started using oral meds 14 years ago...I would always build a tolerance after 6 Months and progress until I was past the max dose...then I would deploy for 6 Months and reset my tolerance...just repeat this over and over again for 14 years. I was checked by the uro who found normal T levels and no obvious problems

Long term users of EDEX please tell me this is not the end of the road...I do not want to keep inreasing my dose as I did with oral meds.

Are you using the brand name Edex in the proprietary syringes where you mix the powder and saline in the syringe? If so are you using Edex 10s and injecting less than half the syringe/vial to get 4 MCG? Or did I misunderstand your post?

Name brand EDEX 20mcg that comes with 6 syringes per box. I first used 5mcg and it was too much so reduced to about 3 or 4 mcg...worked almost too well every time until the last 3 injections...almost totally worthless.

OK, I think I'm confused, which is no shock. I'm terrible at math and I think this is algebra. My old expired Edex 20s only have ml readings on them from 0.25 ml to 1.0 ml. So (math illiteracy considered),... I think that means 4 mcg of alprostadil would be less than the 0.25 ml marking on the syringe, estimating where the 0.20 ml mark would be. What a wast of an Edex 20 that would be if you're throwing out 8/10 of each cartridge, but it's not intended to be saved and used a 2nd time and once reconstituted in the cartridge it would have a very short shelf life anyhow, oh well! Set me straight if I'm totally off base. Maybe the markings on the Edex cartridges have changed.

Anyhow, I determine if I'm injecting in the correct spot/depth by plunger resistance. This is difficult with the Edex cartridges as you're pushing so much rubber inside the cartridge/syringe. This would be much more difficult when injecting such a small amount using the cartridge. Others determine proper location/depth by aspirating blood into the syringe. That method is impossible with the Edex cartridge as I understand it unless it's been changed.

My initial GUESS would be that you're not getting the correct spot.

You are correct I am using less than 1/4 of the dose in the syringe....I am sure that I am hitting the correct spot I have never failed before and 3 misses in a row is not something I would do. My question is....how could I develop a tolerance after 4 months and approximately 20-24 sticks? Thanks for the feedback

I obviously could be wrong but I think I'll stick with the missing the sweet spot theory for now. I have a hard time believing you could have 4 good months and then suddenly develop an immunity to it all at once. 4 mcg is really a tiny amount of the drug. I feel very fortunate using about 11 mcg. I did have some inconsistent results when I was using the Edex kits. It's just harder to hit the spot with them.

Thanks for your feedback, I just have the feeling I am hitting the right spot. Any other long time users who have built a tolerance, or any who have not built a tolerance?

Well I realize you want input from someone else but to answer your basic question: No, I haven't developed tolerance to alprostadil although I realize it may happen. I have actually reduced my alprostadil dose since moving from Edex to compounded alprostadil "Mono-mix". When I was using Edex I used the whole Edex 20 kit and still had some inconsistent results. I now use about half the alprostadil of whats in an Edex 20 kit (about 11 mcg compounded @ 80mcg per ml with a 8 mm 31 gauge syringe - about 13 units) with near bullet proof results.

Good luck getting it all figured out.

Thank you for the response...that is good news! I hope I can get several years of good results from injecting.

I also dont get it a guy uses 20 to 30 edex get little next guy gets a mix uses way less edex and works well. Seems the.pure exex should work better
