From what I read, your healthcare provider will use a local anesthetic that will numb the injection area before the injection.

However, you should be aware that Xiaflex should not be injected if the Peyronies is in one of the corpus tubes. I recommend you Google Xiaflex and read about the risk factors.

update, in the time it took to fight with insurance company to pay for Xiaflex, it appears that my cock has began repairing itself and instead of a side street bend I now only have a curve in the road. So new doc said Xiaflex is no longer needed. He is putting me on some pill for 6 weeks that will open veins up and help finish the straightening process. MEANWHILE I go to get my first trimx shoot Friday. So after all that input people, it spins on a dime. Anyone wanna tell me anything about this injection. Thanks alot

Trmix costs me about $95. Medicare won't pay for it (though they will pay many thousands for an implant, strange).

The needles uses are very small 29-31 guage, usually. For me, the injection is easy. Not painful like a regular shot at the doctor can be. The only barrier is mental, because of where you're putting the shot.

Make sure the doc or a nurse shows you exactly where to put it, what angle it goes at, how often to use it, etc. It's really easy to do, but you want to do it right. They'll probably give you a fairly small dose the first time and have you gradually increase to get the response you want. Likely, they'll have you sit around the office half naked for a while to make sure the erection subsides.

As you increase dosage, it's a good idea to have some pseudoephedrine handy, as that can help take down an erection that lasts too long. Ice can also help. I've never had that problem, but would be embarrassed to have to go to the hospital for that.

I just noticed your signature talking about your very high blood pressure.... please be much more aggressive getting it down, I have seen far too many young guys having a stroke because of that. Bug the shit out of your doctor until he finds meds that work. Also, never check your BP by using the machines in the mall etc. They are hardly ever calibrated and cannot be trusted to be accurate. I don't mean to sound like I'm nagging you but we now belong to the Brotherhood Of Broken Dicks (Hey, maybe we can get a logo and our own song...)

bldoink, I know we're going astray here, but I had the same problem with the Lisinopril 40mg.
My doc suggested adding 5mg of Amlodipine. That worked fine, but made my ankles swell and itch. I added the Hydrochlorothyazide but didn't like the excessive urinating.
Now, I use the Lisinopril and take the Amlodopine every other day. It seems to be working for me.

On a side note, 30 years ago I had mild HPB, and moderately high Cholesterol.
I wanted to take out a life ins policy, so I started on the BP and Chol meds.
Later, when I was 59, I lost my last job and wasn't able to get health insurance at all.

It seemed I was high risk due to taking the meds. Go figure?
I did survive sans ins for a while and later a guy I bowled with who sold ins was somehow able to get me on a Cigna plan til the Wonderful World of Medicare kicked in.

You wouldn't believe all the companies that rejected me now tried to sell me Medicare Advantage or Supplement policies.

I added the Hydrochlorothyazide but didn't like the excessive urinating.

I only take 12.5MG of the Hydrochlorothyazide. I don't notice excessive urination but it does make a huge difference regulating BP. My MIL used to take many times that amount. Of course my dosage is only 20MG of the Lisinopril. I actually get them as a combined tablet so my dosage must be pretty common. Hopefully my BP will stay this easy to manage.

I was taking Hctz when I was working as a paramedic. I had to stop taking it because I felt like I had to piss every half hour. The average length of our calls were 45-60 minutes so my meds were interfering with my patient care. I now take Amlodipine and Cilazapril.
