A failure can be caused by both too shallow or too deep. Practice will help you learn to find your sweet spot more easily. Remember, plunger resistance should be minimal when you're at the correct depth.

Some guys aspirate to determine correct placement. They withdraw the plunger a bit. I've done this also. You pull back on the plunger. Resistance should be fairly light when withdrawing also. If the plunger kinda boings back in when you try to pull back on it then you're at the wrong depth. It should easily pull back, pulling in some blood, and stay at the level you withdraw it to before you decide to depress it to finish the injection.

I wish you continued success.

The problem I've had with not injecting deep enough, i.e. not into the cavernosa tissue but hitting the superficial skin, it a large painful fire-engine red welted area. TriMix causes normal skin tissue to hemorrhage. Once I've hit the urethra and had liquid dribble out the end. I've steered clear of the nerve bundle on top. I've had a few misfires that did not produce effective results but were not the above either. Dunno what happened. Could be other influences like drugs or supplements. These are still a mystery. Yes, I have had to run to the fridge and reload a syringe for a booster. Speaking of boosters, on occasion for a longer "sporting" event, I've put the normal amount in and added half again as much to reserve for a booster (20 + 10 units). Wifey tanks a break if Junior starts going limp typically in 30-40 minutes and we continue after she catches her breath.

A couple things I learned from reading these posts and from my first 2 months of experience:
1) What trimix you are first prescribed is a guess, as is the initial dose suggested. I was prescribed PAP/PHEN/PGE1 - 17.4MG/0.58MG/5.8MCG. (Basically half strength 30/1/10)
And to start at 20 units(0.2ml) for the first injection in the Urologist office. Based on reading many years of posts, I told the nurse educator that I wanted to try only 10 units. Well it worked a tiny bit in the office but by the time I was driving home I had a major boner that lasted about 4 hours, even after pseudoephedrine, nasal Afrin (this is suggested to try before pseudoephedrine tablets in my patient education materials but don’t think it works much) exercise, cold packs and intercourse. Now I use 7 units....BUT...I have still had results ranging from 0 to 10/10 hardness with the same 7 unit dose no matter which side.
2) based on the above, it’s very easy to “miss” even after repeated success. And it may not always be that the Trimix is becoming ineffective.

Overall it does sound like your results have been positive. This is more likely a problem with that one last injection instead of injections in general. I'm hearing some good advice and things to try. And I would add, consider a cock ring around the base of cock and balls to keep the juice in the right place.

I have yet to use a cock ring. I've been hearing good things. I will try next time.
