Anyone else find that they continue to deal with anxiety over sex even after securing Trimix and dialing in a successful dose protocol?
My wife and I almost always have sex in the early morning, mostly because of our schedules and the schedules of the (many) other people in the house. Unfortunately early morning is probably the very worst time for my anxiety. I feel silly saying this because I never was prone to anxiety before my first ED experience 11 years ago. Now every time I wake up on a weekend or other planned sex morning, anxiety will suddenly ambush me like a punch to the gut shortly after I wake up.
It is very uncomfortable and I wish it were not a routine part of my sex life.
Tried to get in to see a therapist about it but there was a song and a dance and a shimmy and a shake and some shuffling and jiving from the insurance companies and their office and the lack of qualified physicians in the area and just wait three more months and oh the insurance company was GOING to pay but now says they are declining and and and…
And I kinda gave up on that months ago.
My first bout with ED saw bad anxiety with almost every sex session until I had done 2-3 years without one ED instance, and then my brain gradually relaxed. At about the five year mark I was fairly confident with each encounter, although not perfectly so.
Then I kinda crashed out about a year ago now and it’s been bad anxiety all over again since. Well, until the needle is finally in and injected, and my cock is hard, and I tell my brain to go be anxious in the corner, because my wife and I are gonna fuck now.
But I wish I didn’t have to get over that hump first, every. damn. time.

Continuing Anxiety despite Effective Injections
Genetically sky-high Lp(a) of 390 led to various heart diseases. Ultra-low testosterone of 120 (now 480 with Clomid) also contributed to ED at age 41. Managing with daily Cialis, but for me, the implant is a "when", not an "if".

Sorry to hear about those issues. One thing I don't understand is whether the TriMix (nearly) always works to give you a usable erection or if it frequently fails. If the former, your anxiety seems physical unfounded and I don't know what you do with that; but if the latter then I think the anxiety is to be expected and a solution is just a not-uncommon urological challenge. You could increase your dose or perfect your technique or add in another agent, such as Vyleesi. .
Born 1954. Diabetes, hypertension, atherosclerosis. Sildenafil iffy. Tri-Mix 30/3/20 Pap/Phen/PGE1 godsend pending long-term efficacy. Daily Cialis. Tried LiESWT 4 times, Botox, PT141, Eroxon, QST, DUS, Vertica, Ferticare, cabergoline, psycho+hypnotherapy

Thanks. In truth I have not had Trimix fail even once. Unless you count the hours-long priapism that necessitated a trip to the ER that one time - but that’s hardly a “failure” in the sense I worry about!
When I first developed issues over ten years ago, it literally took years of zero erectile failures before I started to feel comfortable enough to trust that things wouldn’t go wrong. With this relapse I’m sure it’ll be years again. Just wish it were different.
I think I’m just one of those people who just isn’t going to feel back to “right” until after I finally get the implant.

Your anxiety reminded me of a bizarre two weeks I had years ago when there was an Androgel supply interruption here, none to be found in 25 drugstores. (I didn't know that compounding pharmacies make the same thing.) I'm totally dependent on synthetic testosterone and doctors had told me that anxiety and depression would follow stopping T. They were right. I fell into a strong anxious state that I had never experienced. At its worst, I was nervous about leaving my house! T back to 500, my normal life was back immediately.
You expressed confidence in your doctor a year ago when I questioned your Clomid remedy, but there are a few Franktalkers who have good total T measurements but still have problems. They might have low free T or low bio-available T. These guys need an endocrinologist who has an interest in male sexual health.
Testosterone is a more-complicated substance than we think. It's in our bodies in several forms. Most urologists don't want to dissect it into its subdivisions.

Age 81 in 2026. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 25 min.

If you are a person of Christian faith and have a good confidential bud, you might ask for prayer. Knowing someone is for you might help. I was getting anxious about getting with the wife and using Cialis. So I texted him. He responded back positively. And everything worked out just fine.
