Hello all. New member here. 50 yrs old. A not so quick history, 1st issue with ED happened when I was 36. I was under pressure to perform as the fertility doctor said for us to do it “today and tomorrow”. Well that day didn’t go as expected. I couldn’t stand at attention long enough to finish the job. The more I tried the worse it got. I chalked it up to stress and moved on. Occasionally after that I’d have an issue here and there. I spoke with my PCP (old Dr) about it sometime in my 40s and he prescribed viagra. Then I found out cialis was cheaper so he switched me to that. Insurance wasn’t covering the medication so I switched to online generics to save money. They worked for a while then became less effective until I was losing faith in them. I tried different places to order from like hims, hello cake, Roman, etc. once the pills started failing none of them seemed to work right anymore and the headaches the next day weren’t worth the little help I was getting. I tried blaming testosterone. Although it was low it was still within the normal range, barely. My Dr didn’t think trt was/is necessary. I kept insisting it must be my low T because as my ed was getting worse so was my desire. It was pretty bad. Me and my wife would be intimate every few months instead of days like years ago. Finally, I saw an add on FB for trimix. I started doing some research. From what I read you don’t build a tolerance. No headaches or flushing. Sounds good. I’m not afraid of needles not that sticking one there sounded like fun but I was willing to try. Instead of talking with my PCP (new Dr) I went the online route again and was prescribed the trimix. It took a week to finally try it for the 1st time. OMG. My initial dose was 12.5 units as per the instructions. It worked amazing other than it only lasted a half hour to 45 minutes. Instructions said if after a few attempts I’m not having success double the dose. It said the erection should last an hour to an hour and a half. Luckily I did research and decided 25 was way too much since I had good results with 12.5. I decided to up it to 20. I ended up taking Sudafed at the 2 hour mark. I dropped it to 17 and have been having great success. 10-10 would definitely recommend. As it turns out. Now after finding FT and reading others stories, I dont have a low libido like I was thinking. The ED was messing with my head so much I lost interest. Now that I’ve found trimix I’m back better than ever. If anything I think I want sex more now than in my teens and 20s. Only drawback is I usually have to finish alone after my wife taps out. Trimix has given me my sex life back. I only wish I wasn’t limited to 3x per week.
I’m probably 20 or so shots in and only had 1 misfire and caught it 1/2 way through the injection. Other than videos online with a Dr and a dildo I’ve had no instruction. I see some people say to message it in? Does this help? When do you message, immediately after injection or after pinching it for 2 minutes? Also those that developed a curve from the shots, did you notice it coming on little by little or just one day it was there? If it was quick do you remember anything different about that shot or the previous one? Is there something to avoid to prevent it from happening? Sorry for the long post.

Welcome, Mike. I'm in my ninth year of injecting once a week. Yes, there is good injection instruction on the Internet. Congratulations on your self-taught success. I'll just add a few things that I've learned.
-Use the thinnest needles, 32 gauge, to minimize needle damage. Scarring builds up over the years and some say that it's from needle damage. (Others say it's from a Trimix component.)
-Alternate left and right sides; curves probably happen for guys who can't inject with either hand. I visualize my length as having five zones and I keep a spreadsheet showing which side and zone I inject, so I go through ten injections before repeating a spot. If scarring is from needle damage, this spreads it out.
-There should be no resistance to plunger travel, and little or no pain when the fluid goes in. If not the case, push in a little or pull out a little.
-You have two corpora cavernosa but you only need to inject one because they have three or so handy fluid connections. As soon as you pull out the needle, squeeze and pump your shaft to pump some of the Trimix into the other corpus. No need to pinch - pump instead, ten or so times. This gives you a straight-ahead erection.

Age 81 in 2026. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 25 min.

Welcome! It's good to see new members of the Injection forum. I hope you'll post your experiences.
It looks like you're off to a great start. I've only been at this for about 1½ years so take my comments FWIW. There are members here with way more experience than me. Great advice from Martin6469.
Here are a couple of recent posts where I imparted some of my wisdom, such as it is.

I would have cautioned you not to double the 12½ dose to 25. That's way too much and seems like a surefire risk to have priapism. But it worked out and now you know.
As to Testosterone, the guidelines in America say 300 is normal but testosterone knowledge in the medical mainstream is abysmal. The docs I follow who are world-class say that each man's level needs to be evaluated in view of his symptoms but that 8-900 is very reasonable.
I'm glad to hear that Sudafed worked for you. I hope that it was true pseudoephedrine, not Sudafed PE which is phenylephrine. The OTC phenylephrine in the drugstore is different than the liquid phenylephrine that is the real antidote. If you look at some of my previous posts you'll see that I am a huge advocate for keeping true phenylephrine on hand because that will be preferable to going to the ER.
I've never used 32ga needles but I'm going to look for some next time I order. For now, I'm ok with 31ga
The pattern I follow is to switch sides and on each side alternate between the lateral point (a/k/a 3 o' clock & 9 o' clock) and slightly above (a/k/a 2 o'clock & 10 o'clock). Then, similar to Martin6469, I move up and down the shaft. Roughly speaking, I divide the shaft into 4 quadrants and inject in the lower three, IE at the 25% 50% and 75% mark (perhaps closer to 20/40/60). This system gives me 12 different areas before I hit the same area again.
Then I squeeze at the base and massage the shaft to get the medicine moving to the other side and generally all around. At the same time I'm holding an alcohol wipe over the puncture spot to prevent bruising. I only do this for about ½ to 1 minute.
As Martin6469 noted, there is debate about whether Peyronie's is caused by the medicine (PGE1) or the mechanical puncture. What I do is to just have my uro check for fibrosis at each visit.
Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
