Questions for the group?

Looking to the large volume of information contained amongst this group of experts. I had my first Trimix injection yesterday. I took the compound to the urologist office for my "introduction session" where he spent about 5 minutes explaining the injection technique, drew up 20 units and handed it to me and said, "Okay, let''s see how you do." I took a deep breath and injected and he said "Very good, away you go". If that doesn't work do 30 units next time, and then 40 units, and then 50 units until it works, but call me back if 50 doesn't work. He thanked me for coming in, I pulled up my pants, and made the drive home. I could feel a moderate erection forming (maybe 70% hard) and it stayed that way for close to 3 hours.

My questions:
1) The erection wasn't as hard as expected, but I feel quite nervous about going all the way up to 30 units for my next injection (especially after reading a few stories on here about priapism!) Does 30 units sound like a safe next step?

2) When I picked up the compound, the pharmacist wrote on the medication "KEEP FROZEN". I read on some comments in this forum that said that the compound shouldn't be re-frozen once thawed, but should be refrigerated. Is there a problem with putting it back in the freezer multiple times between injections? (I hope not because I did put it back in for now).

Far from an expert; just a 13 month trial-and-error guy, but here goes…

I think 20 to 30, a 50% jump is too much. Given that you were at 70% for 3 hours, you're already near the hairy edge. I think I'd try 20 again to see if your response is consistent. Then go up by 5 units at a time. BTW, do you have injectable phenylephrine on-hand? You definitely should, especially as you push the boundaries to see how much is safe.

I freeze and re-freeze many many times. I withdraw about 10 syringes worth and re-freeze the original vial plus the filled syringes. As each is needed, I move a syringe to the refrigerator to be ready for the next opportunity. This has been 100% successful for me. My original vial is still going strong.

Thanks for the reply! I appreciate the input on the freezing topic, and it appears your advice regarding the dosing is spot on, although I didn’t read it in time. I used a second injection of 25 units and it was TOO MUCH! Although the erection wasn’t impressive in size or hardness, my wife and I did achieve penetration for the first time in more than a year ( no aroused lovemaking, just mechanical experimentation due to many frustrations). Long story short, I awoke 2.5 hours later and was harder than when I started. At the 3 hour mark I took two Sudafed 60 mg and started to panic. Went down to the basement in the middle of the night to exercise, took a shower, and walked around. It finally subsided just before the 4 hour mark! If I try again I will either titrate down from the 20 starting point, or start at 10-15 and work my way up? The urologist did not mention anything about having injectable phenyepherine at home??

Congratulations on the penetration. Everything else is just noise - little problems to be tweaked.

Use the search function for "phenylephrine". Lots here about it (mostly from me ). There is some controversy but read several posts to get a balanced point of view. I strongly suggest, if your doctor won't do it, you find a doctor that will prescribe it.
