Libido - Horny

Serious question. What is libido/hormones? I truly don't understand this. I have always wanted to have sex, and I still want it just as much as when I first had several decades ago. I have never had a higher or lower urge to have sex at any time. I know that for my wife there have obviously been some times where she HAD TO HAVE IT! I presume that that is a female hormone/cycle thing.
She asked me recently about whether I was horny, and I said no more or less than any other time. I am always up for DOING IT, unless I am mad at her or she is mad at me. I presume that testosterone affects desire, but I think that I have essentially the same amount of desire as 40+ years ago, but obviously don't have anywhere near the same amount of testosterone.
Interested in others' thoughts.

Are you on TRT, I have been on Androgel for 15 years and it keeps me interested. However I just revisited Melanotan 2 (a peptide like Ozempic). Been happily using Tri-Mix for more than 15 yeas. Average sex probably twice a week since late 1980s. Never used any testosterone prescriptions. I have tried the daily pill type things that Frank Thomas and Doug Flutie have advertised. These did nothing, and I am done buying them. I sing the praises of Tri-Mix to anyone who is interested!

My testosterone is around 500. Clomifen rises to 800. But, the lack of sensibility makes me fell zero libido.

NothingLike: Total T has a wide normal range - about 220-700 for old guys (and 270-1000 for young guys). That's probably why you have good libido. Consider yourself lucky. Bio-available T should be proportional to total T, but sometimes is not, giving those guys a complex testosterone situation, normal total T measurement, but low libido.

Young women of course have their widely-swinging cycles, and post-menopause women who don't get hormone replacement therapy often have depression and no sex interest.
