I recently got a penile ultrasound to see how bad my Peyronie's fibrosis is. To test for Venus leaks the doctor gave me an injection which was extremely painful. It felt like he was putting a larger needle in. The pain came 3 or 4 times during the injection (the needle going into my penis did not hurt at all). He asked me if it was a burning pain and I said no, but perhaps I do not know that sensation.
I got a strong erection after 10 minutes and he checked for VL which I do not have. About 5 minutes after he finished my erection got stronger and did not begin to go down until after 3 hours. Obviously he used a strong dose to ensure an adequate erection for the ultrasound. He said he could reduce the dosage for my use, but at that time due to the high pain level I dismissed that idea as there is no way I could inject myself with that amount of pain.
My questions:
1) Have any of you had a similar experience with your first injection.
2) Is the pain I described typical for those who experience painful injections
3) I am retired in Thailand so I am not sure what was in the injection (timex vs bimex) but can find out, though the doctor is 3 hours from where I live. The doctor said he could reduce the dosage and give me enough medicine for about 40 injections but it is extremely expensive at close to $300, anyone with experience in Thailand on this?
I have been reading as much as I can on this forum and go back and forth as to if I can do injections. If I can then I can get surgery to fix my Peyronie's and not get an implant at this time. I appreciate any advice you can give me.

Injection pain during penile ultrasound
Moderate ED for many years, Prostatectomy in 2020, no erections for 16 months then Peyronie's onset.
