Started Trimix (calibrating)

So I started using Trimix, did my first injection in doc office two days ago (10 Units). After 10-15 minutes the results were… eh. About a 1/10.
Then I drove home and masturbated, and noticed that it took me a bit longer to lose erection while pausing.
Today, tried 20 Units at home as per doc’s order. Waited 15 minutes while playing a crossword puzzle and made it to maybe a 2/10 - but with stimulation got noticeably harder than usual and stated that way without stimulation for a bit longer than usual.
Noticing a dull ache in penis after the shot, especially now (about an hour and a half afterward and flaccid after ejaculation).
Is lack of hardness w/o manual stimulation normal at 20 Units? What about the ache? It’s not horrible but it is definitely there. I’m guessing my technique probably sucks from inexperience.

I believe the aching is caused by the Alprostadil component of the trimix.

After a period of becoming accustomed to the Alprostadil you still have an intolerable ache then the next step would be to try BiMix (no Alprostadil).

It's impossible to say what is normal at 20 units without knowing 20 units of what. TriMix comes a variety of formulations. If you give us the mix, we can get an idea of whether it is a weak or strong or in-between strength. For instance, I run the danger of Priapism at just 3 units of 30/3/20 (Pap/Phen/Alprostadil).

I've only had injections a couple dozen times, and I've gotten the ache probably 6 times. My wife the RN gives them, so it's definitely not (or at least mostly) technique. I take advil and tylenol before my shot just to get ahead of it and it' hasn't been an issue since.
