Urologist did my doppler when i was not even erect.. should i be concerned ?

32 years old. Started in my 20s and got worse every year.
I would say i'm close to impotence now (or wil be soon) : no random boners in years, no morning erections in years. can't get erect at all manually. pills don't work (they get me a half chub)

I finally went for a penile ultrasound exam with a top urologist in Montreal. He is one of the only 3 doctors in Quebec province (canada) that performs penile implant so i figured out that he was competent. STEINBERG urology in montreal.

He injected me with low dose and gave me 10 min to try to get an erection. even if I told him i have not been able to get an erection manually for 1-2 years. Even with the injection, a poor half chub is all i could do. He told me it was enough to do the exam and didnt bother to inject me again to try me to get harder. is that weird ?

Result of the exam, he said everything was fine and i had good blood flow, no leakage, and more ''in'' flow of blood than ''out'' flow. he also stated no peyronnies and did not suspect plaque in my penile veins.

I feel completely lost now, he tried to put me again on 5mg daily cialis when i already told him it,s not working. my last hope was an implant but he told me he would not performs it on me because on my young age and my good overall health.

(p.s. all my blood test are great, high test, etc)

Hakky’s office did mine the same way,didn’t even attempt to induce an erection. If they need to induce an erection to clarify something they will.

This happened to me with my ultrasound, I did not get very hard from the injection and they did the ultrasound anyway, “all’s well” result. I would have felt much like you except after all the old men involved in the test left the room I touched myself in private and developed a nice firm erection that required two shots of the countering agent to get it to go down!

I think they can do the test OK even if you aren’t fully hard, but I also think telling you “ya fine” and not budging on treatment was not OK. I’d say get a second opinion, maybe go for CBT and/or injections if you really feel trapped in a corner and twisting in the wind. The really good docs can be hard to find and even with one of those you sometimes do have to roll up your sleeves and advocate for yourself. That's how mine was done, with just a chubby.
However, IMHO it's time to find a new doctor. Stating he won't do an implant because you are too young is bullshit. If an injection didn't cause an erection something isn't working like it should.
