Falling asleep after injection?

Postby PrimeTime21 » Tue Jun 24, 2025 2:29 am

I have used bimix with great results and have probably 100 injections under my belt. I've made it a habit to make sure the erection has subsided before going to bed to be safe but im wondering if that's necessary? The reason I ask is because the erections normally last 3-4 hours which means I usually aim to have sex before 7 PM so I can go to bed at a normal hour. Id like to be able to do an injection later in the evening then go to bed but wouldn't want to have a priapism without even knowing it. I have my dose dialed in to go down between the 3 and 4 hour mark but has anyone fallen asleep after an injection and everything was OK? Or is that not a good idea? Thanks in advance

I'm a bit newer than you at ICI, so take my comments for what they are worth. I am still surprised by the injection duration - sometimes shorter, sometimes longer. For that reason, I too try not to inject after 7'ish pm. But if an opportunity presented itself, I wouldn't hesitate. But that is only because I am very comfortable using a phenylephrine injection to enable me to get to sleep safely.

I've used injections for a long time, over a decade. Personally I'd never go to sleep with an erection induced by an injection, the risk is too great. Maybe if it was down to a semi I'd do it, but not if it was "hard", Remember your body naturally tries to induce erections while sleeping, and that on top of the injection could lead to a prolonged erection you're not even aware of.

You'd hate to wake up with a throbbing hard erection that had been like that for 6-9 hours. As a safety measure, I'd say if you have a semi before going to sleep take 30-60mg of pseudoephedrine (Sudafed), it will work to bring you down. Even better, take it 30-60min before going to sleep and make sure your erection is down.

I do go to sleep with the bimix erection, however, I set my alarm for the 4 hour mark so I wake up and check him. All good so far.

That sounds like a good compromise...but if you set for four hours, if it's still hard you don't have much time to correct it before having to go to the ER.*

* BTW, if you read the medical literature, you realize the 4hr limit is actually very conservative and accounts for essentially zero risk of damage. Even at 6-8 hours, the chances of damaging anything is pretty low, like 5-7%. Once you start crossing into 10-12 hours you are getting into high risks of 25%+ for some form of permanent damage.

First time I used Trimix I had an erection at 4hrs and had to page the urologist. He said take sudafed and give it another hour then go to the ER, and by about the 4.5hr mark it was going down and worked out okay. Needless to say I used less the next time!
