I'm guessing it's mainly a case of guys who have made the final permanent decision trying to justify their decision by convincing others. I don't know. I'm not a shrink.

I'll just say from my perspective as an implant guy, when I get on franktalk I don't go into the individual forums (implants, injections etc), I just go on the main page where it shows the most recent "active" topics from across the whole forum. Then just click on and reply to a topic if it seems like I have something I could add. I don't pay attention to what subforum the post is from, if that makes sense. I'm sure others do the same.

Perhaps you could first consider if your post would be helpful or encouraging to the original poster for where he's at in his journey.

Yes of course, I would not have made my post if I didn't think it would be helpful for the original poster

I did injections for a few years. At first it was great then they became less and less effective. When they quit working it was time for me to get moving with my implant. Only wish I had done it sooner.

Agreed. I'm trying to be nice, but I feel like I'm getting bombarded by salesmen. Good to know it's an option, but I'm not there yet.
Mid 30's. I have had ED for years after a couple of injuries. Suspected venous leak.

I say "hang in there"! Why, you ask?
Short version: progressed through the various blue, yellow pills till the usual side-effects outweighed diminishing results. Was introduced to trimix at a local clinic with an autoject. With a 1/2" 29G 50unit syringe [Love EasyTouch, as a side note] it worked most of the time, but would miss because of what you have experienced: the "slop" of the syringe in the barrel of the autoject.
Reality check: I'm 72 [started trimix a year and half ago], have essential tremor, and a phobia of needles. So, autoject seemed like a necessity ... fast forward a year, frustrated by hit and miss with the autoject, tried different syringe lengths and even used 100U because they seemed tighter ... after "lurking" on this board and reading, absorbing, I made the leap to manually injecting myself :o still a little hit and miss at first. Happened to have an annual with my urologist and we talked about "sweet spots" [my terminology] and he identified where and how he wanted me to inject. OMG 8-) This old uncut grower and his sweet wife are enjoying the results of that visit. I keep prefilled syringes in the freezer, holiday time can be fun to see who pulls one out first :D
Oh, and FYI - urologist is monitoring a non-specific nodule, so my need for trimix was not surgical, rather likely age/ stress-related ED
73 years young, graded up to 40/30/4 . Married for almost 45 years …

I have found five key reasons for the injection not working well: 1. injection technique/misfires, 2. competing "boner killing" drugs, 3. deteriorated or weak mix*, 4. mood, 5. frequency. Each one is a study in itself, particularly 1 & 2, and varies with the individual. *"Weak mix" also includes the fact that we seem to normalize to a dose over time, just as with pills formerly, and need stronger mixes over time. Number 4 & 5 are more subtle impacts but real. It's really no wonder that results may vary.
NOT an MD. 71, M51 yrs, CenTX US. Inj since 12/2016, a yr after pills stopped working. Caverject for a yr. 1/2018 Tri-Mix at 30 pap/2 phent/60 pge @0.3ml, now 0.5ml 80mcg/ml PGE1. DE/Anorgasmia setting in since 5/2019, worse now.
