Trimix Size vs Pump Size

Postby dunbar57 » Fri Oct 15, 2021 3:01 pm

I had a robotic prostatectomy two months ago.

I'm on Sildenafil (no response at all) and daily pumping for penile therapy and I've started using tri-mix for sex.

When I pump I can get a thick 7" erection now. With tri-mix I am getting thick and rock hard but only 3"- 4" long.

If pumping and tri-mix were both giving me 3"-4" I would say it's because of how recent my surgery was, but since pumping is giving me great results I'm confused as to why tri-mix isn't providing a similar length.

Also, one day this week tri-mix didn't give me a useable erection despite lots of stimulation from my wife. About 45 minutes later I got rock hard and was able to have sex. Is that common?

If you're trying to have sex 2mo after a RPP- congrats! You're healing a lot faster than most of us on this forum. I have several other posts if you'd like to read on my recovery coming up on 2 yrs in Jan.

To your questions:
1) I got no response on any ED meds. I tried pumping for months and hated it. Trimix works for me, but I'd prefer my natural blood flow and nerves back.
2) Simple mechanics: a vacuum pump pulls venous blood into the corpus cavernosa; trimix is a vasodialator which makes your body push arterial blood into the CC. Your body can't force the same amount of pressure that an external pump can; at least not at our age.
3) All of us who had a RPP have lost length + girth. It's a known side effect of the procedure. I lost about 2" and tested this by comparing the pump vs trimix with max (painful) inflation. Most wives don't really care about size, so let it go; just be happy with your progress as I said above...
4) you have to experiment with trimix and find the right mix and dosage- It will take some trial & effort. Sometimes it works immediately; others takes 20-30 min to kick in, or not at all.
5) make sure you have the incontinence under control. See a pelvic floor specialist if you can. You don't want to be pissing inside/all over your wife in the moment...
