LOL! Before my implant that was another thing doctors wanted me to try. WELL! The pump that they sold me was so large that I do not believe it was for humans. I am well endowed, but geez it was way too big. I got it and threw it in the dumpster. That is something doctors shouldn't even recommend. I think it is just part of the process by insurance companies to try and save money.

Implant is the way to go.

Totally agree with this. The biggest issue I've had "pumping for exercise" is petechiae from starting with a completely flaccid penis. With sex, there is stimulation and its a lot easier.

LeLuv offers a reasonably priced quality “all in” system for about $80. It includes a pump with a vacuum gauge so you can maintain the vacuum level at a safe level - 4 to 5 in.hg.

Also cylinder sizing is important.

Cylinder sizing according to,LAPump

Girth --> Cylinder Diameter
3.50 to 4.50* --> 1.50
4.75 to 5.25* --> 1.75
5.50 to 6.00* --> 2.00
6.25 to 6.75* --> 2.25
7.00 to 7.50* --> 2.50
7.75 to 8.25* --> 2.75

My flaccid penis is 12cmx11.5cm (4.7inchX4.5inch). In erect goes to 18cmX15cm (7.09incX5.9inch) what Cylinder Diameter would you recommend?

Any advice pumping after implant surgery? Do you pump up the implant prior to using the VED? I used a VED prior to prostate removal and prior to my implant. My doctor gave me the ok to use the VED although he did not give any direction.

Do a search under implants "Using your VED after implantation"

Based on chart, I recommend a 2” cylinder.

I bought 2 different pumps both cost about $13 online w/free shipping. They were called starters. One had a ball the other a hand pump. No instructions. One was 2" diam and the other 2 1/4". I am about 2 1/4" so I fill the 2" side to side. The ball is safer but slower. I blistered my glans twice with the hand pump on 15 min a day. The first time 60% was blistered and the largest one exploded! 2 hours later I had to go into work. That was fun. The 2" one is easy to use,I just ride it high on my pubic bone and my balls are never sucked inside. The 2 1/4" one, well watch out. I have to hold onto my jewels when I start and then its ok. But ride it just as high up onto your belly as possible and hang onto your balls. If not trust me hurts like hell! I do 3 sets of 5 AM and 3 sets of 5 PM. So 5 pressure 5 release 5 pressure 5 release 5 pressure and done. Takes about 30 min.

I got my VED the other day and practiced with it. I found the tube works better with the silicone ring at bottom left off. I shave my pubes so getting a seal isn't a problem. Well last night I had sex with my wife with a large beautiful erection. It had been about 10 years since i had pleasurable sex and 5 years with no sex. It was fantastic, my wife loved it.

One thing to note if you go onto Amazon and buy one of the cheaper pumps it comes from China. Well it took about 3 weeks to get here. I was so pissed that I tried to cancel the order so I could buy an American made one from one of the better know manufacturer. But by that time it was already on the ship so I had to just wait. But its here and it works pretty good. Still have to get a loading cone for it because none was supplied. My next step, if the VED does not correct my ED I am headed to Baltimore to get a penile implant from Dr. Kramer. Then I know I wont have any more problems.
