Hi, I wanted to ask about the effectiveness of penile extenders. Do they actually lead to measurable and permanent length gains?
For example, if someone uses a traction device consistently and gains around 0.5 to 1 inch in length, would that increased length carry over after undergoing a penile implant surgery? In other words, does pre-surgery traction therapy help improve the final post-implant length outcome?
I understand that penile traction can take a very long time—sometimes several years—to produce noticeable results. Given that, is it still considered worthwhile before surgery, or are the benefits relatively limited in the long term?
I’d really appreciate any insight or guidance you can share based on clinical experience or research.

A traction device is not a VED (Vacuum Erection Device).
I'm in my early 70's. Serious problems with ED started in my early 60's. ED drugs were eventually not effective enough. Aquired VED pump and constriction rings in 2024 which provides usable erections for sexual activity.

Re: Traction device works to gain size before implant
A traction device uses a weight that hangs off a penis in order to stretch it.
A VED is a vacuum pump a penis is inserted into, pressure is added in order to increase size.
Not sure if any gains remain after the implant.
