I'm on alprostadil mono-mix at 80mcg per ml. Last time I purchased I got 10ml in ten 1ml vials for $165. At .15ml (15 units) per full dose, that's 66.66 injections per order. That's $2.48 per dose U.S., if I waste nothing. The pharmacy charges the same for all mixes, mono-mix or tri-mix. He tells me the real cost is in the labor.

My script is generally for 3 fills. One time I had a script that was about to run out, time wise, but I still had some older stuff left. I got all three fills at once. They went in the freezer, in the back where they actually freeze solid. It took me over a year to use it up. It was still good to the end. Point being, maybe you need a script in hand and then fly to Florida on vacation and stock up. Your dose should be the strongest you can meter properly and achieve good results with. That way you'll get good mileage out of it. This pharmacy makes mono-mix up to 100mcg per ml. I could actually use that and meter it well and get better mileage out of it but why rock the boat. I'm perfectly happy at about $3 per dose.

It has been almost 4 years since my radical prostatectomy and I was not instructed to start using the VED until it was almost 4 or 5 months after the surgery. This was the downside of having it done during the COVID lockdown.
I tried injections but the tip of my penis was bent like the nose of the Concorde jet, so I quit them. Now, my wife don't want to engage in sex because it is not spontaneous and she says I am no longer interested - which it is not true but she also does not want to go to sex therapy with me. So, I purchased a penis sleeve which I use over the base of my penis to keep my scrotum from being sucked into the VED chamber and then I am able to keep an erection for a few minutes until I can relieve myself to orgasm. I use cock rings from Erecaid and they work fine. I don't think my wife will like the idea of the sleeve over the base. I have been trying and trying to get her to help me with the VED therapy but she will not do it. She does not even want me to give oral sex to her because she says she misses the real thing. The Prostate removal saved my life, but took a real good portion of the life I had before. She also does not want me to undergo implant surgery either saying I have had too many surgeries in my life already. I have survived three tumors already - testis in 1990, lung in 2016, and prostate in 2020. I wish I had a penile implant but she keeps saying for what if we are not going to use it...
Life is short and precious - I keep trying on convincing her into the implant.
Now she has heart issues and I am not sure how she will react during an orgasm...
Anyway, thanks for reading...good luck and do what is best for you and for your partner...

When I see a guy giving 99%, and his wife can't help with the other 1%, makes me very thankful I'm not married to such a selfish bitch!

I would get the implant if that's what "you" want, she might find the spontaneity creeping back into your lovemaking.

Who says she has heart issues, and of what nature? Many people have heart issues that never stop them from making love!

Sorry to be so blunt, marriage isn't supposed to be a dictatorship but it sure seems a lot of them are!

My G/F told me don't get the implant for me ... she does take care of me after each surgery which I have had 3 in 11 months each one high risk and the last one almost 2 weeks ago being the worse. Have her hormones checked .. has she always felt that way toward sex? many women get pissed when u get implanted because as time went on and he quit working she was secretly happy that part of her life was over. A hitachi wand can work wonders on getting her worked up and interested in sex again ..

I have been using a pump successfully for 2 years since my prostatectomy. I use it daily to keep my cock from shrinking and I use it for having sex.

Yes, the spontanaety is gone. Yes, it is not like the way we USED to have sex. I've heard it said about people in our situation ...... "Don't mourn about not being able to have sex the way you used to have it, but celebrate and enjoy the way you CAN have it."

It sounds to me like your wife is using this as "the out" she always wanted in order to pull the plug on her having to have sex with you. I'm sorry you have to go through this.

I've had one for about five years. At first I thought it would be the answer to my ED, but after six months or so I decided it didn't work well for me. I didn't like the cold dick, there was quite a loss of feeling, I'd worry about keeping it on too long, there was no spontaneity, and my wife didn't like it - she said I was too big for her when I used it. So I gave up on using it for sex and now just use it off and on to try to maintain blood flow.
