How do you actually get a ring on?

I have about 15 variable rings that came with my soma erect pump and have tried rings before but find them utterly hopeless to actually get on. I have to stretch it out right over my erect penis and then somehow get it down to the right place all whilst maintaining the erection. Usually by the time it's sort of in the right place I'm softer again. Are you supposed to put them on first or sommething?

I assumed not or surely it wouldnt let the blood in either.

Are there ones that can attach and kk strict from the side rather than havjing to go all the way over the penis shaft.

I now they are suppose to clamp from the pump but I don't use the pump for getting an erection.

You use the cone to stretch the constriction ring onto the applicator ring prior to achieving your erection.
