Cock rings

Postby RJ_in_Pa » Sun Dec 03, 2023 6:28 pm

Hi guys,

3 month after RP and have been experimenting with my Encore VED. Cialis is doing nothing for me, even at the max dosage of 20 mg.

I cautiously and slowly pump up to a firm and full erection and as this VED is designed, I can twist a sleeve to quickly snap a cock ring on without losing any pressure.

Unfortunately, only after 20 or 30 seconds, I start to lose the erection, even to the point where penetration is no longer possible.

The VED came with a number of different size cock rings. They are the ones with the tabs on the sides, so you can easily pull them off. I am now at the next to smallest size. I’ve always been considered average size in that area by my pre-marriage partners and my wife of 37 years and wonder, should I try the smallest size cock ring provided by the kit or is there something else going on? I read about the Osborn cock ring and Eddie. Should I try one of those?

I don’t want to hurt myself by going with the smallest size. Your thoughts?

If your choice is to continue experimenting then:
1. Try 2 of the rings you have.
2. Try Osbons. This may take some experimenting with the different types.
3. Try 2 Osbons.
Here's their chart and more info on Osbons.

I never worry about the ring(s) being too small to remove. If they fit on that cylinder they'll come off my dick.

Along with what AOM said please have a little patience. Do continue with the VED at least for therapy. But 3 months is early. At 3 months post RP I had little success with anything at producing a useful erection and then I had climacturia.

I purchased a VED 10 years ago for my ED.
I could pump to a full-size erection, but using contriction ring it would never hold the erection.
Unless I took Viagra, or Trimix Injection. But at that point, I never needed the VED.
I still use the VED for penile therapy to retain size.
Age: 68. Struggled with ED/PE for years.
Used Viagra for 10+ years with mixed success.
In May 2022 started using Trimix with very good results.

I have the same situation as Another Old Man. Could not achieve a decent erection until I went to (2) Osbon Erecaid Rings. Now erections are usually good for 20 minutes or so (25 -30 being the limit.) I use (2) "D" rings (gray and beige) and when I first tried them, I was fearful about being able to remove them since they are so small. With lubrication, flaccid and pulling on the built in grips removal is not a problem.

I use two cock rings as well. Able to stay erect 20-30 minutes. Just think that my cock folds a bit due to the two rings at the base with my cock being erect.

Sounds like you may have a bit of the "hinge effect".
To lessen the effect some men have used these https://uandmetime.com/products/store/# ... ct=4958534
Also lessens "the snap effect" and reduces discomfort. If you try one pay attention to the size instructions.

AOM - you da’ man. I went to the web site you noted in prior post and ordered the foam penile sleeve and it made a huge difference. Not only does it help with the hinge effect, but reduces the anxiety of the snap effect (like you said) and actually reduces the time to pump due to a better suction provided by the base of the sleeve.

As always, great advice!
