Finding the correct ring size certainly is a challenge!

I don't use the rings very often so I'm not an expert, but I don't have much trouble putting even the smallest on the tube without benefit of the loading device. It has to stretch a lot - probably more than double its original size - but with some dexterity, it does go on.

Not only is finding the correct ring size a challenge, but also finding the right type for you individually. I went thru many brans and sizes with no success. Even the type that I use now, but also didn't work until added a second ring, which was a suggestion on FT. No problem now. Using Osbon Erecaid VED and rings and I find they work well because they are easy to load with the ring loader and plenty of lube. I can place both rings on the VED ahead of use, and they are designed to pinch off the veins and stop the blood from leaking back out. I started with the larger size rings which really didn't help for any length of time and kept trying smaller until I found the right combination. Initially I was afraid to use them because they looked so small and I had a fear of getting them off - but turned out to be unfounded. Stretch them by the ears until flaccid and use lubrication. Wife did not like the feel of the rings, so I use a rubber shield over them.

With no pressure gauge on the Encore, how do you know the correct pressure. I understand too high may cause damage, and too little will be ineffective. Anyone else had this question?

I just pump to the point of discomfort. Sometimes I will exceed that which results in edema but has not, so far, resulted in any problem.
