Is this pump priced right?

Postby FacidInKC » Thu Aug 18, 2022 12:24 pm

My RP was 5 years ago and PSA has been normal since then. I've not had an erection in that time and tried Trimix injection once without any success. My internist wrote a prescription for this vacuum pump through University Compounding Pharmacy in CA. I have no idea what is a high or low price for a quality device. What do you think about the attached price wise and if you've used this device? Or what is your go-to device and price? I have no idea if it will work and spending hundreds of dollars to find out concerns me.

If there's a choice between hand pump or battery powered, does one have a clear advantage? They offer a dual device with both but for $460.

Thanks!

Look up Vacurect. It's also wildly priced for the materials used, but similar in design and definitely in intent. And I'd be happy to unload mine for half what I paid for it, BTW.
Decades+ ED; finally ultrasound showed venous leak+arterial insufficiency. Infrapubic (Yay!) implant by Dr. Karpman 8/9/22; with 13 cm distal, 9 proximal Titan. Cleared for new life 9/1/22 and hoping to make up for lost time.

It seems very high.

I use this one. Has same features as the $460 one minus the "lifetime" warranty. I have had my oldest one over 10 years. I did replace the manual pump which I dropped. At $125 vs $460 and lasting for 10 years(used at least twice a week). I don't need a lifetime warranty!

This is the one I've had for 10 years. I think it works well and is durable. I'm not saying to buy from the link as it can likely be found elsewhere cheaper. Just a search engine hit:

RRP 2011 Mayo Jacksonville, Dr. Wehle. Non nerve sparing. C in margins. Radiation 2023, V.E.D, Viagra and PGE-1 (80mcg/ml) injections @ 7 - 16 units. Originally Edex20 or 40, then compounded PGE1 due to cost. Inject. 14 yrs. It works. FL Treasure coast.

I use the Encore pump kit it is under$130. I did replace the guard with this one, much more comfortable and better seal.

I use an ErecAid Classic System by Osbon. It's moderately priced and the design of the rings work great for me. Tried a Vacurect before, but their rings did not work well. Use a cheap battery pump VED for daily exercising with a clear sleeve.

I have been using this Encore Deluxe Vacuum Therapy System https://www.vitalitymedical.com/encore-deluxe-vacuum-therapy-system-battery-or-manual-pump.html for years. Easy to use, affordable, and everything comes in the kit......

Never had a problem with customs or travel. I do use 2 bands. Seems to work better. I tried the injections, but wasn't man enough to continue to sticking a needle in the tool. Too many side effects.
