Implant/ved

Postby iwantanewone » Thu Apr 28, 2022 8:22 pm

A question for the implanted. I just scheduled my implant for may 17th. You’ve probably noticed I’m all over FT about this right now… sorry

But, dr suggested buying a ved to use prior to surgery. I have it. Not my favorite thing.
Is there much benefit to using it for only 2 weeks and does anyone know how many days prior to surgery I should stop using the ved. I can call dr but hate to bother him even before surgery.
I should have asked him at our last meeting. He spent so much time with me I don’t want to bother him again so soon.

If anyone know I appreciate the info…. Thanks!

My surgeon wanted me to stop the VED 2 weeks prior to surgery which I did. I had been using the VED for well over a year prior to implant placement.
MD says I got a fantastic result....I am pleased as well.

Any advantage in using a VED after implant with the AMS CX? I know they don't expand like the LGX, but is it still good for cycling the first year?

Google it.
There is quite a bit of research showing benefit of pre-surgery VED use, better sizing, less complications during surgery, less pain during recovery. AND research re general penile health / post Rad Post surgery.

I did it for couple of years to preserve health when I wasn't sure if I was going to go bionic. I am sure it helps maintain size and it felt like my fibrosis from ICI was diminished a bit.
57, ED 10-15 years. Pills, Bi, Tri then Quad Mix Injections- all slowly less effective. IPP July 2022 (Penscrotal, Titan, 22 + 1) @6mo back to OEM--7.2"L x 5.5"w

What is the recommedation on how often to use a VED? Do you have to do it everyday?
