Can I use Osbon rings with any pump?
I have a non-medical pump. It's a $50 battery-operated with pressure control settings from Amazon. Pretty decent. But my https://omegaflex.biz/ ring just isn't holding an erection created by the pump. I keep seeing posts here suggesting that Osbon are the gold standard to use with a pump, but I'm wondering if they only work with so-called medical grade pumps?
ED since mid '20, with slight Peyronies. Thus begins a search for the right solution(s); 56yo a/o Sep '21. Three months into my quest (12/21), I think PT-141, Cialis/tadalafil 20mg and L-Arginine (maybe other herbs) are a winning formula. For now.

I agree with Bidoink. I have used non-medical VEDs and slipped on an Osbon tension band down my lubed, pumped erection after exiting the cylinder; however, It quite often resulted in a lower quality erection.

Yeah my novelty pump has the raised the lip. I wonder if I can get a new tube for it without that lip. Or heck if I was really resourceful I could just cut a quarter inch off the tube to rid the lip. Also some of the tutorials I've seen show using a pump with no gasket, just the cylinder itself placed hard against the pubis. I can't believe you'd get enough seal for that to work (?) but it seems like it'd be impossible to have the ring and the gasket and get it all to work anyway.
EDIT: Here's maybe a better idea. Instead of getting a new cylinder and cutting off 1/4" for my pump (it's the Adorime - pretty good reviews on Amazon), a better way to might be to sand the lip away altogether on the cylinder. Six one way half dozen the other. I could use wet/dry paper to get the thing super smooth. If I cut off 1/4" then I still have to sand and it might be too hard to cut that 1/4" off perfectly perpendicular.
EDIT2: One other question: I'm amazed that these rings can stretch to get all the way out to the 2" diameter of the pump cylinders / tubes on these pumps. Is that what that conical thing is you see with medical pumps- basically a round "wedge" that helps you roll-stretch the thing onto the cylinder? Think I saw one place describe it as a loader. Although, it seems like when you roll the ring OFF the cylinder onto your shaft you could be in for quite a "snap" into place? Sounds like... fun?
Unfortunately I can't seem to find any real-world practical demos of using these things (maybe I need to check PornHub!).

My pump has that lip and it works perfect for loading the ring onto it. It will keep your band right at the edge of the tube without coming off to soon. Once I've pumped all I have to do is push down slightly on the pump, while maintaining the seal, and roll the band off over the lip. Don't cut or sand it off, it'll work fine the way it is.
Retired 65 y.o. Married. Moderate ED since 2019. Use constriction band ocassionately to help maintain erection, or Cialis/Viagra. Nocturnal/morning erections returning with VED usage. Lower libido than before.

That might work with a stretchy ring, but I don’t think an Osbon band would be easily stretched over a flanged rim.

You can try putting the ring on first then folding the tabs into the cylinder and pumping to firmness. It's not a foolproof method but has a better chance of working if already plump or semi-erect.

IMO, the blue "ultimate" rings https://www.erecaidpumps.com/ sells are the best rings out there. If you are looking for penile "exercise", the water pumps are also supposed to be good.
