Does constrictive rings affect ejaculation and prostate

Postby AN02020 » Sat Jul 24, 2021 3:16 pm

I am using VED, medical-grade, to memic morning woods and keep my penis rehydrated with blood since I don't get morning erections. If I initiate sex with a constrictive ring on, does it affect my ejaculation and prostate health?

Vacuum devices may block ejaculation. You can still have an orgasm but may not ejaculate (release semen).

I too am using a medical grade vacuum pump, but so far I have yet to orgasm or ejaculate. I love the device, and I use it for a full 30 minutes while masturbating. But I would really like to orgasm. I don't know how tension rings affect the prostate -- if at all -- but there is lots of research out there indicating they can affect orgasm and ejaculation. Some guys say they feel an orgasm, but semen doesn't flow from their penis until they remove the tension ring. In my case my penis simply goes limp once I remove the ring, and then if I want to orgasm and ejaculate I have to masturbate again using my hand.

I know that sounds like a bummer, but I don't regret purchasing the pump. I hope at least some of this helps. Good luck on your journey.
I've tried everything -- pills, injections pumps -- and now I am at the final frontier.

Thanks for sharing that useful source. Today, for the first time I wanted to have sex after using the pump; the erection was soft when I sexually stimulated, it became hard and enjoyable. However, it took me more than average time to ejaculate, and it was hard to. Yet, by removing the constrictive band, which has been provided by the pump provider, a few drops of semen flew out of my penis. In general, it was a good experience, but I am scared of developing another issue with my prostate as it puts pressure on the prostate structure by blocking the outflow of sperm.

You should check with your doctor. I have researched this issue very thoroughly and have not found a source indicating that your prostate could be damaged by an inability to ejaculate. I think the next step for guys in our situation is to experiment with tension rings that still get the job done but aren't so restrictive that ejaculation and semen is blocked. For example, the Timm Osborn Tension Band I use has a u-shaped notch. Through research I found that the U-shape notch is supposed to be positioned so that it is at the bottom of your penis to allow ejaculation and release of your semen.

Hasn't worked for me yet but you should give it a try.

Good luck.

I think it may depend on how tight your rings are. It is best to use a ring or rings just tight enough to achieve penetration and keep it up during sex. That is why practice with a VED and experimentation with different brands and sizes of rings can be helpful.
Married 50+ years. Use VED for sex and do
daily exercises with both water and vacuum pumps.

The Timm Osborn Tension Bands are great, but they all work the same. The tension rings that came with my vacuum pump are super tight. I may experiment with some other larger bands to see if that helps me achieve orgasm and ejaculation. Good luck in your journey.

The last couple of years I have used Osbon rings. The following is Osbon's tension chart which in my experience is fairly accurate.
I have used a couple of combo's that don't appear on the chart. A large high-tension and a large standard tension and a Medium standard with a large high tension. It is on my list to experiment with other possible combos of just 2 large rings.
