Release valves and shaved pubes

Postby T-Bone » Fri Feb 05, 2021 12:54 am

So the rep ftom Augusta I spoke with after my Uro appt, told me that after pumping to your desired effect, that you would hit the release button and pull the tension ring off the end of the tube onto your penis simultaneously? How important is it to be simultaneous with that action?

And also from what I've researched so far is it difficult to get a tight seal at the base if you have pubic hair?

It seems that most experienced pumpers are shaved?

Besides pubes getting pulled or tangled do they also cause a bad seal?

I keep them shaved. It makes it easier to get and keep a vacuum when you pump. When I start having problems using my Bathmate that is usually a sign to smooth out the forest.
I use Osbon rings and do NOT want a repeat of removing pubic hair by yanking them out while removing the restriction rings. My penile foam sleeve prevents that from happening now, but I still shave.

I am not familiar with the Soma, When I use the Encore the ring(s) are added under vacuum and are on before vacuum is released.

My response is similar to that of the old man.

You slide the ring on before releasing the vacuum and then release the vacuum immediately after. It doesn't have to be immediate but you're done with the vacuum when the ring is applied so yeah, release the vacuum.

Shaving isn't necessary but some serious manscaping is. I recommend at least trimming short any hair at the base of your dick where the pump would seal for pumping purposes. For the use of rubber, silicone or similar rings I recommend close trimming trimming of any hairs on your shaft or lower pubic bush at the shaft base that has any chance of getting caught up in a ring during application or removal. Removing a ring from a dick with hair involved really sucks and not in a good way.

Any manscaping further than that or actual shaving is for cosmetic or entertainment purposes. I'm not prepubescent and I don't want to look that way so I don't shave everything. Your wife or SO may find she like more manscaping than the minimum necessary for the pump and rings. My wife does.

As mentioned above, simultaneous is not the way to go. Tension rings need to be applied before the vacuum is released. I only shave the areas where the base of the cylinder sits and the bands are placed.
