It’s like a big penis-shaped suction cup. I immerse it in warm water to make it easier to squeeze the air out, then put lube gel around the opening and put my dick in. If you get a good seal, you’ll get an erection in about one minute. It feels very natural - like when you started to get a hardon when aroused, back in the day. Once you get it up, the therapy is to pull the device out from your body and let it go back. It looks and feels a bit like masturbation, but I told my wife it’s therapy, and I have to do it.

I also bought an adjustable loop constriction device which can slide over the Prelude. When you’re hard you can pull it tight and take off the Prelude, maintaining the erection. It’s not rigid enough for penetration, but it gives my wife something to work with during foreplay.

I also give the Prelude credit for my foreskin restoration. I noticed I was starting to get some coverage of my glans before I discovered there is a whole foreskin restoration community out there. I then used some of their manual tugging techniques, and now have full coverage whenever my dick is flaccid, which is all the time except when I’m pumped up or doing prelude therapy.

I have been using the Prelude for penis health off and on for 10 years. I’ve been using it recently in the shower using shower gel as a lube. I keep the shower stream on my back while using the Prelude.

Hey Guys

I was just cleared for sex after my six weeks of healing for penile implant. I need to invest in a good quality VED for cycling. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good quality VED? All I can find are cheap VED’s that don’t appear to be worth buying. Thank you for your recommendations and a great forum.

I'm pre-IPP surgery. I investigated and now use daily penis pumping for penile health and pre-surgery penis enlargement.

Years ago, I bought a $39 "wonder pump" (actually, I can't remember what it cost) but didn't persist in using it because using it in an air environment, it didn't produce a good seal and I could not maintain a vacuum with it.

Now, pre-IPP surgery, I got very serious about getting the best surgery result. This led me back to penis pumping. This article, written by IPP implant surgeons, convinced me of the importance of pre-surgery penis pumping: https://file.scirp.org/pdf/ASM_2013012514045982.pdf

I bought a $300 pump but sent it back for a refund. My "wonder pump" does a better job, a MUCH better job. I'll explain.

Here's my post on the subject: https://www.franktalk.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=14380

The key things that make the "wonder pump" so effective is using it in water and getting a good seal with cushion rings. The vacuum it creates is so powerful that I think I could rip my dick off with it. Be careful how you use it.

I specifically recommend you purchase a properly sized pair if these cushion rings. These work very well: https://bathmatedirect.com/products/cushion-rings Without cushion rings to produce a good seal and comfort, you will not achieve optimum results. Any other brand of these rings with comparable qualities would be fine. I recommend these only because I use them and I'm very satisfied with them.

I looked on Amazon and found a few pumps that look exactly like my "wonder pump". The $5.18 pump (usually $10.59) appears to be exactly the pump I purchased. It has a quick release valve; you need this. Using this pump in water in a bathtub, shower, or spa the vacuum can suddenly become very powerful and you need to be able to release it quickly.

One more thing. The "wonder pump" did not have its tube connections attached with anything other than a press-on, friction fit. That is not enough; they come loose. When the tube came off the end of the vacuum chamber, I Gorilla Glue'd it on. When the same thing happened on the other end of the tube, on the bulb pump end, I Gorrlla Glue'd it on, too. Neither has ever given me another problem.

The wonder pump:

Again, using it in water with cushion rings was the key to my success with it. Using it in air, the seal wasn't good enough to get a good, maintainable vacuum.

Other, similar, more expensive pumps, if you want to spend more money:
https://www.amazon.com/Powerful-Training-Extension-Enlargers-Operation/dp/B085YDFVJ8/ref=sr_1_116?dchild=1&qid=1585753073&s=hpc&sr=1-116&th=1 - This one looks very similar, $12.69.

https://www.amazon.com/Personal-Massager-Enlargement-Extender-Enhancer/dp/B07SHZFLKZ/ref=sr_1_316?dchild=1&qid=1585753272&s=hpc&sr=1-316 - This one has 3 different bases for the seal. For anyone with girth issues, this may be the best choice. But, I promise you, you will still need cushion rings to achieve the best results.

https://www.amazon.com/Pipedream-Pump-Silicone-Power-Clear/dp/B005EIMK1A/ref=sr_1_123?dchild=1&qid=1585753099&s=hpc&sr=1-123 - $12.15. (Are all the parts made by the same company? So many of these pumps have what appear to be identical parts.)

Hello DT,

You mentioned pumping is not the best solution, what would you say is better. I'm 67 and lost most usable erectile capacity 6-7 years ago.

I have been using VED and cycling 4-5 minutes and typically no more than 4 Hg.

I don't use trimix nor do I take any medications except cialis 10mg every nite. I drink one cup of coffee in the morning. Healthy diet, exercise.

Any thoughts on the P-shot or Gainswave?

Recent blood tests show testosterone is relatively good:

Testosterone: 482ng/dl - range 250-827 ng/dl

FSH 7.0 - range 1.6 -8.0 mIU/mL

LH 5.8 range 1.6-15.2 mIU/mL

Thanks for any reply, Savoie

Prior to ED, erections were fairly easy to achieve by a simple stimulation. That was when all systems (blood flow, nerves, smooth muscle relaxation, etc.) required to generate an erection were working well and were in tune with each other.

Perhaps you developed diabetes or an other chronic disease or medication or injury or bad diet that effected your blood flow or nerve endings. Or, you just got older.

Anyway, now you can’t get or maintain an erection and your dick remains limp most of the time and you rarely, if ever, have sex with it anymore.

Prior to developing ED, you would also get random boners and nightly wood during REM sleep. There is a reason for getting these erections and that is, they force in additional oxygenated blood that forces out the old “contaminated” blood and helps rejuvenates the penile tissue.

The purpose of vacuum pumping your dick is to replicate the nightly wood, sex, and random boners you had prior to developing ED.

We can do this by pumping for short periods of time, say five minutes, at 4 to 5 hg then releasing the vacuum and exiting the tube. Perform three slow jelqs, forcing the blood up your shaft into the glans and after each jelq grab your glans to force the blood back down the shaft. Let your erection subside and repeat this process two or three more times.

The whole idea is to get fresh oxygenated blood back into the tissues that have been neglected in the absence of regular elections. Pumping is not always the best solution; however, it often helps. And, if it also results in some increased girth, who will complain.

To follow this routine it would be best to get a pump system that has a vacuum gauge. You can usually get a LeLuv system on Amazon for under $90.

I am looking to order the Prelude but there is so little info on the site. Would you give a detailed explanation of how it is used and how it works. Thanks, Jim
