When would you start pumping again after edema?

Postby Zeckelbaum » Sun Aug 11, 2019 2:43 am

I’ve been pumping for 6 months. Last week I got a lot of edema just under my glans it was all swollen like a donut. It went down overnight so I pumped the next evening - even tho I pumped only Lightly the edema came back. It’s Now been a week should I try again? I’ve heard horror stories of people having the edema for a year or more and don’t wanna push things

Not medical advice but I'd think you were good at a week. I'd think 3 to 4 days would be plenty. Listen to your body. You obviously were getting a bit too aggressive with the pumping. Too much vacuum, too quick on increasing the vacuum or too long under vacuum. I suspect medications can play a part too.

The rule of thumb is to limit time under vacuum to under 20 minutes using a mild vacuum - not to exceed 5 inches of mercury (5hg). No gauge? Pump until you feel slight discomfort and then back off slightly. If you pump at higher levels you need to shorten the time under vacuum.

I agree that one week is more than enough time to recover. I always aim for just a slight bit of edema which usually dissipates over an hour or two and I often pump five days in a row. However, I have been doing it for over ten years so my dick is well conditioned.

The veins just under my head are much more prominent and veiny since I did it. Two of them are also much larger and swollen or out of shape. Wonder if I burst a vessel or something. That ever happened to any of you? Because yes it should’ve been better by now but started swelling slightly after a very light 6 minute pump session

I think the problem last time wasn’t over pumping but pumping too fast. I was having trouble with suction during the first ten mins and then when I finally got good suction I did ten quick pumps in a row to get up to an wrection in a few seconds

It would appear you did a bit more damage and should probably lay off a little longer. Use moderation. Sometimes I find a Viagra helps with pumping although it does nothing on it's own.
