Penis Control when using a ring

I inject about 99% of the time. But on occasion I will use a vacuum pump and restriction ring. While this works pretty good as far as keeping my erection, I find I lose penis muscle control with the ring on. I'm not sure if I'm wording this correctly, but what I mean is, with an erection without a ring I can use my penis muscles to stiffen slightly and use it to adjust to variable shifting of my thrusts and/or my wife moving slightly. But with the ring on, I cannot do this. In fact, it makes normal missionary difficult unless I basically pin my wife's legs back to get angle where my penis penetrates directly without any variation. ( I hope this makes sense, as I'm not sure how to articulate the problem ) I was wondering if anyone else that pumps has this issue and is it normal when using a ring tight enough to restrict blood flow?

Thanks again, bldoink..... Yes, that is exactly what I was trying to describe. It does bother me, unfortunately. I mean, I could live with it, if that's my only choice. But since injections are working well for me currently, I plan on primarily sticking with that. But was just wondering for those rare occasions where I need to pump.

Some have reported that one of these helps with the hinge effect.

I use one because it lessens the discomfort of a tight ring(s), reduces the "snap" when thr ring is first applied, and helps make removal of
the ring(s) easier.
