Funny Thing Happened While Pumping

Postby limpnoodle » Tue Dec 20, 2011 2:04 pm

Guys, A change happened while pumping. I have been taking daily cialis for a while just to avoid more loss of size and can get about 60-70% erect maybe a little better with a band. Pretty sure have venous leak after PCa surgery. On multiple occasions using the pump I now can get 100% erection with band but without the hinge effect. That's right it stands out and slightly up and does not hang. Ask Dr about it (not a ED guy0 but says maybe things are improving after 4 years. I certainly am not complaining but wondered if any you other pumpers have ever had this happen.

not-so limp:

I agree. It is probable we may see improvement for years after the surgery if we keep working him and concentrating on improving our erection quality. So many factors come to play but there is no reason not to see further developments. It was almost 4 years post-op before I found this wonderful, helpful, supportive place. I had not pumped before then. My surgeon, who was a brilliant surgeon, did not really care about hard so I was way behind the curve. Fired him!

From my first contact with FT and the advice and support I got from this place; my erections improved and continue to get better even after 5 years post-op. Am I where I was before my PCa surgery - no. Am I doing better and better- yes. As guys here say "This is a journey". But the up is not always "up hill" sometimes it is up and out. I'll take that. PSA remains at zero and erections continue to improve, my pre-surgery length is getting closer and penile rehab works and remains fun !!!!

This must be the season!!

Keep us posted on your progress and if you develop a technique you think might help the rest of us- please share.

Regards,

Don't forget Kegels for both you and her for the rest of your life.

I agree. I always kegel while in the tube to maximize the engorgement. I always kegel upon removing the tube with the constriction in place to bring it back to 100%. I always kegel while inside my wife to maintain hardness, force in new blood so I can remain under constriction longer, and my wife seems to enjoy the little wiggle the kegel generates.

As far as I am concerned, kegeling improves the pumping experience not to mention the benefits I get from strengthening my pelvic floor muscles. Bringing back to life two birds with one stone.

And Kegels are good for her floor muscles also. We consider them a vital part of our "new sexual normal." She tells me that she has learned the importance of kegels but only after I developed ED after surgery. She was doing some independent reading and came across the recommendation somewhere on line. Noticeable results take around 8 weeks so be patient. We are years after surgery and still kegel every day.

I had thought that constriction rings were to keep blood from flowing, so I assumed that you could not put more blood in with a ring in place. At the moment, I don't have a higher-end pump that allows ring placement while in use, so I've just not worked with the rings much yet. Would it work to pump for a while as normal for my rehab, then take the pump off, put on a ring, and pump back up again for an attempt at sex? I don't want to damage anything by trying to pump blood in if it can't come in due to the ring.

Wow. There's so much great data here and you've all been incredibly helpful. Thanks!

I have oftne done things similar on the in between injection days, and I have had no problems with pumping with a ring on, arterial flow and the arteries are much stronger and able to maintain rigidity with the use of a ring so long as the ring is not too tight. The veins on the other hand do not have a lot of pressure and rely on valves to prevent backflow, so the ring is mainly to keep the venous blood from leaving. Once the penis fills to a certaain point the pressure will force the blood past the ring, again depanding on the size of the ring.

I will usually pump around 5 times during sex, with the ring still on to be able to keep gooing. I don't want to use a smaller ring so I just deal with the size I have and it alllws for some time out for some more oral for the wife. She doesn't seem to mind
