That was a week ago. I've moved on, as has the OP.

I have a problem I just got my pump in the mail last wednesday. I went right ahead and used it, not much success. So I removed the rubber on the pump and the barrel of the pump sat on base of my dick and since I shave down there the suction was very quick and got an erection was fast. I don't have a pressure gage so i am unsure how much pressure i have achieved. I am circumcised so i have a small piece of skin under my glands that sticks out some. The last 2 times i pumped up I noticed afterwards that piece of skin is red and swollen. Anyone have any idea.

red and swollen

Could be edema from over doing it. Give it a few days rest and don't create so much vacuum next time. That's why a pump with a gauge is better.

Without a gauge, The rule of thumb is to pump up until you feel slight discomfort and then back off slightly.

He has recently started using an inexpensive pump with good results. He/we would like to move on to using the tension rings with the pump and have ordered a set in various sizes that have the side handles which hopefully will make things easier with the pump. I read an article mentioning use of a ribbon as an alternative to the tensions rings and although that really didn't work well for him it worked well enough to determine he might get better results from an actual ring. I'm looking for any suggestions at all on how to transfer the ring from the pump onto him as simply as possible and best positions for him to have some success with this if he is able to maintain an erection for any length of time. On a side note I could care less about this but he is frustrated with his body not responding the way he would like and is anxious to try whatever methods may work. I am doing my best to keep this issue as low pressure as possible while still being supportive of whatever he would like to try which right now is the pump/tension ring method. Thank you.

I use this, bought from ADW Diabetes for $108.
Encore Standard Battery Operated Vacuum Erection Device
Item # 44019001
Encore Standard battery operated vacuum erection Device operates easily with only one hand. Simply turn the on/off switch. Includes penile tube with ring ejection system, 4 different size rings, ring loading applicator, lubricant, discrete carrying case, and written instruction manual. Item # 44019-001

I buy extra rings, especially the #4 which works best for me, but eventually wears out. Have used mine for years. Works great, especially like the easy ring ejection feature. Just twist the plastic outer sleeve and the rings slips right on to the base of the penis as the vacuum is released. Quick and effective.

My goto pump for sex is also an Encore. I have the $125 one. You get both the manual and electric pump. I don't care for the included rings and buy another brand. The included rings are excellent as a 2nd ring when using 2 and seem to be more durable than any others I have found so far.
The ring ejection system works great, especially for a pump at this price point.

This forum has very strange rules concerning women...
It's sad really, since the whole "ED" thing is all about women (or gay men) in the end.
Are gay partners allowed on the site, then, just because they are men?

Just pump it up until your dick responds to it inside the chamber. Good luck. It will take a little bit to get it but you will be fine. :)
