Replacement Time?

Postby Slacker » Sat Apr 18, 2026 5:34 pm

I'm using an Osbon ErecAid Classic Manual Pump, which I have had for 10 years. It is getting the job done, but I am concerned that after so long, the plastic tubing and/or other components may be deteriorating, and that I might not be realizing the maximum benefits that might be available now. Am I wrong in being concerned that the materials might be breaking down? Can I buy replacement parts? Are there improved options that I should consider?

That’s a very good pump. If it’s getting the job done I would not replace it just because of it’s age. When it no longer meetings your needs or fails it’s only a matter of days to get a replacement.

My motto is, "if it isn't broken, don't fix it'". :(

I believe that the Osbon ErecAid Classic Manual Pump is made by Timm Medical. I have their Pos-T-Vac MVP 700 manual pump which I am very pleased with. Timm pumps are made in the United States with the highest quality materials. They have a customer service department and I'm sure that they'd be the best source for advice and replacement parts if necessary.
