Pills help, yet not enough for much PIV sex. Can penetrate but then it is a lot of work to not pull out to far and to push in slowly so I can tell I am actually moving.
I have the lower priced EDP from Reach Medical and use one of their rings. This does give a firm erection, just not what I was hoping for I guess. Not quite as stable as I would like and definitely would not be as firm after 30 minutes. I should probably try two rings. I looked up the foam sleeve/base support someone mentioned and that would probably help but chickened out when they require order by phone.
P.S. still have not had an orgasm with ring on. I need to improve my cardio/stamina for PIV. Our effort to let my assistant do all the work orally, failed when a sharp tooth just hurt to much. Spent the past week working up the courage to try this again maybe tomorrow.

Don’t …Let it be You can do it and find a new partner to start over again.
VED is a good start so keep that up daily so you won’t lose what you have. You don’t want shrinkage.

It's not recommended, and it can be dangerous, to wear a ring for more than 30 minutes. For PIV sex I think it's a fact that most people even without ED do it for less than half an hour. The great thing about an implant (which I do not have), is the ability to remain hard for as long as you like but with a VED, you can have sex, take a break for a couple of hours, and do it again. My partner's time limit is about 12 minutes, or there is a risk of getting sore even with generous amounts of lube. That's pretty good considering that statistically, the average session is 5.4 minutes.
With rings, it takes some experimentation to find what works best. After pumping, I use two rings for sex - one tighter than the other. Since I started having PIV sex again last year, after many years of none, I have not yet had an orgasm with it but I'm sure I'll find a way to make that happen. When using a pocket masturbator or other device, I pump up and only have to use the looser ring and lube to reach orgasm.
As for the quality and size of my erections, thanks to pumping and rings, they're as good or better as they were 50 years ago. You have to be a bit careful, as rings are not 100% capable of preventing the erection from losing hardness if the penis pressed too forcefully against anything.
Good luck!
I'm in my early 70's. Serious problems with ED started in my early 60's. ED drugs were eventually not effective enough. Aquired VED pump and constriction rings in 2024 which provides usable erections for sexual activity.

Poorly worded. I meant, one ring is not enough to remain firm for 30 minutes. I suppose it would remain firm if I just looked at it for up to 30 minutes, yet masturbating or PIV seems to lose a little. I am sure this means I should try two.

I use two rings and it works well for PIV. One ring only holds the erection for a short while. You need to experiment with different rings types and different sizes to find what works best for you. My best result are with Osbon ErecAid Tension Rings, one tighter than the other, They are designed with a space to allow for organisms. Also, the ears are designed for easy removal with lubricant when flaccid.
85 yrs old. Married 42 yrs. On meds for B/P, Cholesterol and BPH. Greenlight procedure yrs ago. 30 yrs ED w/Retrograde Ejaculations. Tried Pills, Injections & different pumps. Excellent results with ErecAId pump & Beige D & Gray D rings.
