Dinner With Cajun Jeff, Pat, and Jerry (Genome)

Postby Genome » Mon Sep 05, 2011 8:46 pm

I (Genome) spent a great couple of hours with Jeff, his wife, his "brother" (cousin close as a brother) and "sister in law." They are on a road trip and passed through Chattanooga, TN. I invited them to dinner and we had a few hours of laughs, food, and great conversation. Jeff and I had to go wash the BBQ out of our beards. I ordered the "Feast" with a whole Chicken, pulled pork, brisket, a slab of ribs, slaw, corn on the cob, beans, corn muffins and fries. We drank beer, tea, and coffee. Great feast. This is an evening I will long remember. Thanks all for visiting with me.

WOW GUYS!!!! If you could only feel the connection that we have made. There is such a strong bond. We are Brothers. We laughed, visited, talked about good times.

Can you guys see the smiles?

Jerry thanks so very much for inviting us to break bread with you.

Love that LSU gear! Sounds like y'all had a grand time. Day 1 is a definite success! Where will you sleep tomorrow?

That's a great place to be. I hope you can hear some good bluegrass music while you are there. Are you taking the scenic route through the Nantahala Gorge while you are there, Jeff? I highly recommend it. You need to post more photos of this trip.

Ooh, love me some Smoky Mountains. Have a great time! BTW, it's clear and cool this morning in BR. Morning temp was in the low sixties. Nothing over 85 predicted for the rest of the week. Not too shabby!

Wish I were there!
I've experienced quite a few meals with these guys. While eating oysters and po-boys in New Orleans they grunted and slurped like nursing piglets in a fight! They have a unique way of eating...it's the 'bite-n-swallow' technique; no chewing necessary.

Sounds like y'all had quite the feast of food and friendship. Hope the rest of the trip for Jeff & Co. is just as fun. Enjoy the Smokies.... I really miss 'em!

Well today we made it to Asheville, NC visited with a HW buddy then headed up the Blue Ridge Pky. We got fogged in at about 20 miles and had to exit the pky and worked our way to Grandfathers Mtn. When we got there it was fogged in also so we made it to Boone NC and will try Grandfathers Mts again. Time will tell. :(

Even with the bad driving conditions we are having a great time. We so enjoy traveling. Not sure where we will end up tomorrow.

Will try to post pics tomorrow,
