Venous Leak considering prosthesis

Postby xxsolxx » Tue Jan 06, 2026 7:51 pm

Hello all,

I am new here. 62 YO with VL recently tried Trimix but it is too painful and the pain is greater than the pleasure. The urologist suggested an implant. I have a few questions to the forum:

1. Anyone had a good experience with a particular cock ring brand to try and reduce the VL?
2. I understand the mechanics of pumping and erecting. It is just not clear to me how when I am with a woman, the mechanical pumping/erecting goes along with the stimulation. I saw few videos of guys masturbating but could not find any scene of an implanted guy having sex with a woman. Anyone is aware of such clip. A visual may help me a lot to understand and make a final decision.
3. My main concern is whether or not I will feel natural sensation having sex. Can you guys shed a light on the subject...How close does it feel to normal, sensation wise. I don't have a single partner and I would like to find one for LTR, but until then I would like to avoid embarrassing situations

Thank you very much in advance for helping me make a decision.

Welcome Sol. I hope you find the answers you need here.
I'm already implanted and my ED wasn't caused by a venous leak, but I have used both cock rings and pumps for sex.
To see actual examples of having sex with a pump and cock ring together you might have to trawl porn sites.

It is obviously not the same as getting a natural erection, so your partner is going to be aware of what's going on. Difficult to hide it.
My suggestion is to try and make the pumping and cock ring part of foreplay if you can. But delay pumping until you are close to having PIV sex.
I've been married forever and no need for secrecy, but pre ED sometimes we would use pump/ring for a more erotic experience.
I don't know if it will reduce the VL, but you could experiment on your own and see if it helps, before hooking up with a woman.
Recently I've started to experiment using a cock ring with my implant and I think I climax faster than without one.
There are so many rings on the market and I can't think of a specific one that might help.
I would first measure your girth both flaccid and pumped to see what diameter might work, and go from there.
FWIW I like nsnovelties Renegade Stamina Rings. They are in a 3 pack and inexpensive (I'm only average girth).

So, regarding sensation, if the ring is too tight it can cause numbness or reduced sensation, and you may not be able to orgasm.
It's also not a good idea to leave a tight cock ring on, or remain fully pumped, for too long.
Generally 20 minutes seems to be typical advice, although I have gone to 30 minutes with no apparent damage.
But you can take a break then repeat the process. In my experience It takes some experimentation and practise to find what works best.

Once you find a cock ring with a good fit, and pump correctly, I have found that the sensation feels normal and can actually be quite intense.
Of course a big part of sex is psychological, and being very aroused definitely helps.
Success also depends on whether you can sustain an erection for long enough after pumping.
The ring will help with keeping the penis engorged but the results vary a lot from one guy to another.
Once I had ED I couldn't sustain an erection satisfactorily for PIV sex, even using an expensive medical grade pump with multiple ring sizes.
I could penetrate for maybe 30 seconds then lose the erection and have to pump again.

EDIT: I may have misread your question as the topics of cock rings and implants seem to be interwoven.
If you are asking primarily in relation to getting an implant the answers are different.
Sensation can be numb or dulled initially post op but often returns after a period of months, possibly longer.
At 10 months I still have some residual numbness on the underside of my penis, near the base of the shaft.
It has definitely improved and now just superficial. Hopefully it fully resolves by 12 months.
But I have always had full sensation where it matters and I orgasm nearly 100% of the time from PIV sex.
It feels a bit different to a natural erection but so close in my opinion that it doesn't matter.
Pumping is easy and becomes second nature very quickly.

If you search for member dan_bionic on here I know he has published videos having sex with his implant.
71, married, Sydney Oz. PC/nerve sparing RRP Mar 22 then profound ED. Tried pills, Trimix inj, focal shockwave, VED.
Implanted Mar 6 2025 AMS 700 LGX 21cm x 12mm, no RTEs, MS pump, Penoscrotal. Back to 6.5" BPEL @ 9m.
Recovery great but have a bend.
