After a bought with kidney stones and a ct scan , a tumor was found on my kidney .
The doctor wanted to cut it out and toss it in the trash .

Re: Androgen Deprivation Therapy
I've had both injectable and oral in one 6 month course of ADT - 3 months each. Had 38 courses of radiation starting just before the 3 month point. The ADT certainly has noticeable affects, hot flashes / muscle wasting / testicle shrinkage / breast enlargement / alcohol intolerance / lab value changes, etc. A course of ADT can be 6 - 24 months. After completion of ADT the return of at least a low testosterone level can take up to a year, sometimes longer. Bottom lines: not sure there's a significant difference for injectable vs oral (you do have to be diligent about taking the pills everyday) - I don't want to do it again, but if it makes a difference in addressing my PC I''ll do it.
Not familiar with insurance issue - may just be difference between carriers / plans.
