I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and had 28 rounds of radiation therapy. Since I've finished the RT, I have no seaman ejaculate during orgasm. Before I had a good amount. Is this normal?

Retrograde ejaculation is when semen goes back into your urinary bladder instead of out of your body through your urethra and the tip of your penis during sexual climax (orgasm). During a typical ejaculation, your circular muscle (bladder sphincter or urethral sphincter) closes so semen leaves your body through your urethra. If you have retrograde ejaculation, your circular muscle stays open. It can be a cause of male infertility.

Retrograde ejaculation is somewhat common. For instance, it occurs after most transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) surgeries. Conditions like diabetes and medications that treat high blood pressure (hypertension) or depression can also cause it.

Other names for retrograde ejaculation include:

Retro ejaculation
Dry orgasm
Retrograde orgasm

Most, or at least MANY of us have this condition. We learn to love with it, even if we miss the act of shooting semen.mmorgasms still happen, thankfully.

I also had prostate cancer, treated by radical prostatectomy. For that both the prostate gland and the seminal vesicles are completely removed.
So now I can no longer ejaculate semen at all and it's permanent, but I still have dry orgasms. I do miss being able to spurt cum when I climax, I guess it's a symbol of male fertility. I probably still produce sperm but they can't leave the testicles, so have nowhere to go. A bit less fun during sex but not too devastating. After radiation therapy I don't know if your dry orgasms are permanent or may return at some point, it seems that the results may be variable and depend on multiple factors. I recommend having that discussion with your doctor.

Yeah, I too miss the ejaculated semen, but my orgasms are great. Life is a compromise, especially the older one becomes.

Going a little OT but did you ever suffer from delayed ejaculation or anorgasmia? I'm just wondering if your great orgasms are something you developed after the implant or if you've always had them.

I could masturbate and have an orgasm soon after my implant surgery, before the ok to have intercourse. Guess I was lucky.
