Are there any GOOD up and coming ED medications?

I ask because Pills are starting to have less and less effect, and I really struggle with injections, but because I can at times get a full erection an implant may seem a bit drastic- which leads me with very few options ( dont even get me started on vacuum devices or rings).
What we need is a treatment with the effectiveness of injections but with the easy to use nature of pills. Why does there seem to have been a stagnation in ED treatments over the last 25 years?
Lets face it, theres no GOOD option- they all come with fairly significant drawbacks.
Pills often dont work and cause side effects
Injections are a nuisance to store, use and arent as reliable.
Implants are great if they go well, but are a lot riskier and a life changing operation.
All the modern innovations seem to be duds and shysters. PRP, Eroxon, shockwave therapy, Vertica etc.
One of the reasons for not getting an implant I keep hearing people say is what happens if you get an implant then a new treatment comes out within a few years. However nothing seems to be incoming so I qwont be surprised if I go ahead with an implant within the next 3 years.
Is anyone aware of anything else thats actually promising on thew horizon?

Take care when you take diazepam and a high dosis of Viagra together… the could interact and lead to a sudden drop off of your blood pressure….

The problem with waiting for the next cure is that your life passes you by in the meantime.
For many of us ED is a progressive condition. So pills becoming less effective isn’t a surprise.
An issue with any systemic medication like pills (meds delivered throughout the body) is that making the effect local is very difficult and in some cases impossible. The characteristics of the vasculature in the penis is shared by other tissue. That’s why a lot of us get stuffed up noses or flushing when we take some of these pills.
Shots on the other hand are localized direct acting agents. If they work for you but the results are inconsistent, take a closer look at your technique. Needle length, needle placement.
I did pills for around 5 years. When they became less effective I did shots for 10 years. As they became less effective I increased the strength/dose, added pills back, added a cockring. Eventually I was really backed into a corner taking pills, a massive shot, and wearing a cockring to get 20 minutes of erection.
I’m just over 3 weeks post op from my implant and so glad I made the leap.
I was on the fence for a while because I still got (shitty) erections and didn’t want to lose them. I didn’t. I’m STILL getting erections around/on top of the implant. So if I get turned on I feel the stirring. When I’m turned on and the implant is pumped up I fill out.
But now my cock is 100% dependable. All the time.
Getting an implant is a big step but for me it became clear that I was losing time. I was losing opportunities. I was missing out. I was ready to move on.
Don’t hold out for treatments in the pipeline. They may just be vaporware. Address the problem with the current treatments available to you now.

I agree with GoodWood, don't wait for something that hasn't been made yet. Wasting time is just missing out on some good sex. Unfortunately, most of us guys have been down this road and know what's coming in the future. When pills begin to fail its normally time to move on to injections. When injections begin to fail an implant is next. I still wish I knew then what I know now because before I popped that first Viagra I would have looked into the implant.
See you are in the UK, so it may be a different procedure there. Best of luck making that decision.

Thanks.
I think if injections were as reliable as pills i would try them more.
I almost feel like i need to take both in case the injection fails, but then i know whats not ideal either.
I take 100 mg vaiagra and get a decent erection but often loses its hardness because my pelvic floor muscles are so tight and nothing can relax them.

Have you read the book about pelvic floor dysfunction that is mentioned in some of the posts in the Hard Flaccid/Pelvic Floor Dysfunction section?
I think the title is something like “A Headache In My Pelvis”. It might have some useful information.

I saw this but I cant quite figure out what the mechanism of action is here.
Talks as lot about plants and substances and improving sexual activity in rats.
Im concerned it'll be another snakeoil like eroxen, or maybe something like yohimbe which doesnt really do much.
The issue is we need something that affects the penis like injections do but without the hassle of having to inject it.
Pills are ok but they dont bypass stress and anxeity like injections do. Nor do they seem to overcome muscle dysfunction fully.
