Whats the best way to find the right dsage for PT141?

macoza, 1st - I'd check with your doctor before taking anyone else's advice. Only he/she knows the specifics of your health status relative to using injectables. That said, I've used PT-141 for years and initially took a half dose, then took the other half dose 3 hours later. I had little to no nausea. Then I started taking Zofran (Ondansetron) to head off nausea. It's a very common and well tolerated anti-nausea medicine but requires a prescription. With Zofran I could take the full dose of PT-141 no problem. My main side effect was flushing (redness) in the face. It looked no different than if I'd spent a couple hours outside working in the yard. For me, the full libido effect didn't happen for 6-8 hours, but lasted 18+ hours. Again the effect is libido, which can help with ED, but it's not a blood flow med that makes things happen regardless of what you're thinking about. Some people say it's effective within 30-60 minutes, but it's worked differently for me.

I'd like to know if its a good idea to take a third of the dosage and work up from there to find out the sweet spot of effectiveness before any side effects occur.

macoza, I took a full dose once without Zofran (I forgot to) and the nausea was tolerable. The half doses 3 hours apart was even more tolerable. And yes, I really like PT-141. This is hard to describe, but in addition to libido, it made me feel really good and confident. And I'm generally a confident person to begin with

If you take the full does of pt141 without Zofran will your nausea be very bad or tolerable? Do your feel pt141 is a wonder drug for libido?

I’ve used PT-141 about a dozen times. Unfortunately I don’t recall the amount of the dose. My urologist provided it in preloaded syringes with doses of “small, medium, and large”. The flushing/queasy feeling (nausea is too strong a word for my experience) hit first about 20-30 minutes after taking the subcutaneous injection in the belly fat. About an hour later horniness kicked in, in unpredictable waves. Sometimes stronger, sometimes less. The effect was dose dependent, both in the intensity and duration of the action.

Although it helped my (otherwise crappy) erections I wouldn’t have been able to count on PT-141 for my ED. It seemed like the improvement in my erections was just a side effect of how horny I was.

I have a strong libido anyway, but when I was on the strongest dose I felt like the effect was too much. I was a selfish lover, fucking my partner in a way that paid no attention to their needs. Just wanting to get myself off. And after that encounter was over I jacked off several times that night and the next morning. I woke up grinding my cock into the mattress. I think I had 5 orgasms in about 18 hours.

I’ll use it again in the future but will determine a small/medium dose. Not something I would use regularly, but for a special occasion.

I just started PT-141 nasal spray. I have tried 2ml in each nostril, and 4ml in each.

It doesn't seem to help with my erections much (boo!), but it does make me horny. If my ED was milder I bet it would help with that too.

macoza, PT-141 increases libido, the desire for sex. If there's no physical problem getting an erection, more libido should help. If there is a physical problem getting an erection, PT-141 won't overcome that, whereas Viagra can help with some physical blood flow issues.

I looked at the other thread but it appeared to be focused on Trimix. My experience with Trimix was very limited so I don't think I can offer much there.

I tried PT-141 in it's various forms, including branded Vyleesi. I started because of a study that showed it helps with delayed ejaculation, a/k/a anorgasmia. I may yet try it again if anorgasmia become chronic but for now my anorgasmia is tolerable. The biggest problem I had with PT-141 was timing - I could never predict whether it would kick in at the ½ hour mark or 7 hours. The nausea was slight end entirely bearable. I believe the pre-dispensed dosage approved for women (only dose for Vyleesi) is 1.75mg so that's what I use.

CanGetItUpButNotOff, the variation between 1/2 hour and 7 hours is interesting. Seems like mine is always 7 hours +. And that's ok because the effect lasts for like 18 hours. How long does the effect last for you ? And yes the female dose is 1.75mg and the male dose is 1mg.

The duration of effect was likewise highly variable. I never got more than 10-12 his which is significantly less than many reports here. Also, my libido is not low so I never noticed any increase in libido. Erection was hit or miss. Same with orgasm. If and when orgasm again becomes elusive, I'll[ try Vyleesi again.
