Hi guys.. I'd like to know what makes a penis have an erection at night. Is it brain chemustry or hormones? I'd like to know specifically

well... different nerves than at daytime.
I suffer from ED due to nerve damage. My nocturnal erections thogh work perfectly...

Not a Doctor but I always find with my night wood that its tied to my bladder. I wake up with a massive hard dick and even find myself stroking it in my sleep. Then I usually figure I need to pee right after. Same in the AM when I wake up
