Duplex Ultrasound - What to expect

This Saturday, May 27, 2023 I have scheduled a duplex ultrasound.

About a month ago, I saw my urologist about an upward curve and penile shrinkage that I noticed in Feb 2023. If I measured correctly I lost about an inch in length and an inch in girth. Before this I was above average, Now it appears I'm just average!
When I saw the urologist last month, he suspects I have Peyronies disease.
From what I've read most often Peyronies disease is from penile injury.

I don't what happened, however:
1. I was sick with Pneumonia in January and stopped all sex and Trimix injects for two months. It was during this time that I noticed the change in my penis. Could being sick and not engaging in sex cause such a change?
2. When I saw the urologist about a month ago, he did a physical exam of the flaccid penis. And thought maybe there is a plaque on the dorsal (very top) of my shaft. Suspecting Peyronies disease. He said he will be able to tell with the ultrasound. Even though I have done Trimix injections for a year now I would never have injected into this area.
3. In September of last year. My wife got on top and was riding very rough going back and forth and grinding on my pubic bone. Because I was using Trimix my cock was very hard and it hurt. Making me wonder if she injured it. When I tried talking to her about it, she got upset, saying every other guy loved it. Her doing that position (woman on top) has been a very difficult subject. Previous to using Trimix, when I used Viagra I was rarely hard enough for her to do it. Unfortunately, it is the only position she can come without using a vibrator.

Hopefully I can get some solid answers from the ultrasound.
1. Do I have Peyronie's disease and how bad is it? (I'm guessing but Its seems about a 25-30 degree curve and a loss in length and girth)
2. I have never had an ultrasound, And have never been diagnosed why I have ED. Although I suspect, Performance Anxiety, low blood flow, and or possible mild or moderate venous leakage.
3. If it is Peyronies disease, the urologist mentioned there is treatment. But did not specify anything specific.

Sorry for the long-winded explanation. However in some ways its like ED all over again. In-other-words stressful.

For you guys that have an ultrasound. Is there anything I need to prep for, or ask and make sure the urologist does and understands?
I assume they do the ultrasound on both flaccid and with an erection from an injection.

What I dont want to do is go have the ultrasound and have a less understanding of what is going on and possible treatments.

The worse thing I fear is that he tells me to stop injections and the only fix is an implant.

I'll respond to the only part of your post that my experience could relate to. I've been injecting for 11 years. The only deformity I've developed during that time happened when I was trying a month of abstinence in the hope that it would improve my difficulty with anorgasmia. It did not. However, afterwards I discovered a bit of narrowing and some bend to the left. I'm guessing if I'd regularly used a VED during the month I would have been ok. The deformity hasn't worsened upon resuming injections.

The ultrasound should show any plaque development or venous leak. When I had my ultrasound done doc injected me. Guess I was supposed to get an erection but only got a chubby. The nurse checked on me twice and finally said let's go.

I had the ultrasound.
The urologist checked for two things:
1. Presence of Peyronies Disease, (scar tissue).
2. Proper blood flow. This was done after injecting a low dose (3 units) of Trimix.

There is scar tissue causing curvature and loss of penile length and girth. He said it can be treated with Verapamil injections, which (he said) has a 70% success rate.
I lost about an inch in both length and girth. I was not fully erect, so the amount of curve was not measured.

Blood flow (after injection) was very good. He said that since the trimix holds the erection for 2 hours there is no venous leakage, meaning my ED is (mostly) psychological.

He asked if pills (cialis/viagra) work, which they mostly do, however since I have PE (premature Ejaculation) I will continue to continue Trimix injections.
At this time the scar tissue does not appear to be from the Trimix injections.

As far as PD treatment, my wife and I agree it is a good idea. We both agree, bigger is better.
