Help interpret penile doppler results

Postby arn727 » Sat Apr 15, 2023 1:52 pm

Hey guys,

Had a penile doppler performed a few months and looking over the report again, hoping someone can help me understand. Tested with .20ml of Trimix, MD told me everything looked good..."good arterial flow and trapping just fine".
-PSV right 58.8, PSV left 48.8, which both appear to be normal from everything I can see in
literature.
- EDV result is where I'm confused. What I can see on PubMed, EDV less than 5cm/s considered
normal. On the results line, R and L are -6.9cm/s, and doctor also wrote 1.12 and 1.14 next to
each line, I'm wondering if this is the resistance index? Is it normal to see EDV value as a negative
number? I did not see any examples of this in what I read and MD did not explain the actual
values to me.

If anyone on the message boards is well versed in this, I would love to hear any feedback.

For background - 36M, very active/fit, eat healthy, no underlying health conditions. PED5i's worked great for 4/5 years, but completely stopped working overnight after a breakup...do not even experience systemic effects when mega dosing (300-400mg sildeanfil). Did give up porn and drastically limiting masturbation about 40 days ago to see if this helps. Kind of the last hailmary before I likely pursue implant.

Thanks

Good luck

arn: I don't know anything about this test, but s7utty's signature says EDV is outflow. Since EDV is apparently a velocity, the minus sign or dash must be meaningless. Seems like the doc said hydraulics are ok.

s7utty reminded me of the dozens of breakups of my young dating days; each time there was another babe coming around the corner, but the fact unknown to me.

What's the rush to implant? I'm very happy with injections.
Age 78 in 2023. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.
