Prostate removed 31July2013, Margins clear and so far cancer free.
First trimix injection was 3 weeks after surgery, Urologist recommended .22 ml. Too much. Rock hard for 4 hours, considered ER but after a half hour of cold showers and squeezing I finally got it to go down.
I reduced the trimix amount to .09 ml and that produces a two hour erection every time. My wife, who I married 46 years ago, is an absolute babe. She is the same weight, 125 lbs, as the day we married. She likes sex as much as I do and I’d estimate in the past nine and a half years I have used a trimix injection 700-800 times. That is not an exaggeration.
So my penis is also a pin cushion! I have always chosen different places on my penis to inject and there is only one spot that has been overused that I now avoid. But somewhere along the line I developed Peyronies. Not horrible, maybe a gradual ten degree bend to the left that bothers me more mentally than it does physically. It is enough of a curve that the wife can feel the bend but she says it’s not a big deal, bless her heart!
Peyronies treatments are not effective, at least according to what I’ve read. If anyone has had good results with a peyronies treatment, please share.
I believe that getting an implant would straighten out my penis. That is the main reason I am considering an implant.
On another forum I have become acquainted with a man who also had his prostate removed. He doesn’t like needles and so he recently had an implant. I’m not sure which brand, although he says he is a ‘shower’ now instead of a ‘grower’ so I assume his implant is the two piece one. I have read that the three piece implant deflates more completely. Is that true?
I don’t want to spend the rest of my life walking around with a half erection. If I were to get an implant, and the surgeon concurred, I would get the three piece setup.
I assume the implant would solve the peyronies curvature and I would no longer be a needle addict.
I have also read that once a fellow gets a penile implant there is no going back. If the implant were removed, trimix or pills would no longer work. Is that true? Has anyone here had an implant permanently removed?
(BTW, viagra produces a half erection that lasts 5 minutes but gives me a bad headache. Cialis can also produce some swelling but not quite enough.)
If an implant failed, maybe because of unforeseen circumstances like an adverse reaction to silicone, etc, and had to be removed, would I now be incurably impotent? Incurably impotent is not a chance I am willing to take. Especially when I still get good results with trimix.
Thanks in advance for any answers to my questions.

I'm having trouble understanding why ten degrees is a problem, particularly if she says it's ok. I've seen porn actors with at least that much bend.
There are ads for Xiaflex, which is claimed to be a series of injections that breaks up scar tissue, which they say causes the curve. There are a lot of cautions and caveats and you have to see a "Xiaflex-trained urologist." Their site is www.PDcarrot.com. A quick FT search turned up many guys who have had the treatment - some say it worked and more say avoid it because of pain, high price, and no or bad results. So if I had a minor bend I'd probably avoid this treatment. But do your own search since I've never had a bend and know nothing about them.

Age 80 in 2025. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.

Re: Prostatectomy, trimix, peyronies, implant?
I composed that first message but I didn’t think I ever pushed submit. I read some posts here that had poor results and quit thinking about implants.
Then I had an appt with my urologist last week and he says nothing but positive outcomes.
At first my wife was against getting an implant. I explained more about the procedure and what the doc said and she likes the idea of a straight erection again. My doc said bring her in and he will answer any questions she/we have.
We actually did a measurement of sorts on my curvature and came up with a 30 degree result, not just 10 degrees as I previously estimated.
The urologist I see only implants the three piece device. He said that during the implant procedure he would try to remove some of the plaque that’s causing the curve. He says doing that, along with the implant, would significantly decrease my curvature. I do trust him as he did successfully remove my prostate and that has kept my PSA undetectable for ten years.
I didn’t ask if any scar buildup from injections would be an issue with an implant. And I didn’t realize that could be an implant issue until reading about that here on this forum.

He does all types of surgery, kidney, bladder, prostate, anything to do with urology, and has both male and female patients. On google, he has 79 reviews and a 4.9 average. Same on web md, 48 reviews and a 4.9. His medical education was at first rate universities.
I see no need to look elsewhere but thanks for your input.

Best of luck figuring out which way to go. Nice that your wife is on board with you.
Remember that many of the posts here are guys with issues/problems or complaints. There are thousands of implanted men who never post one word, they are just happily using their new tool. For many males admitting their penis doesn't work anymore, or needed to get fixed, won't get talked about. It's an ego thing.
I love my implant. The wife does too. Hated the pills and needles.
