Cabergoline and Prolactin

Postby Anonymous FT Member » Wed Sep 28, 2022 10:21 pm

I'm currently taking cabergoline Monday and Thursday for a total dose of like 0.375 mg per week.
I'm wondering how long it will take to actually feel the cabergoline working and see the effects.

I've been taking 5mg twice per week for a year and I can't say I notice any effect. But I keep at it just in case there is some marginal help. IOW, it might be worse without it.

5+5 = 10mg total per week, and that seems like a lot. Did you mean .5 or 1/2 mg?

Been taking it .25mg twice per week. For about 3yrs. I don't notice any differences in the way I feel, but according to my blood work, it's controlled my prolactin level perfectly.

Yes, for sure. Thanks for the catch. 0.5mg × 2 = 1mg/week

With that dosage, what levels of prolactin are you getting now?

What are your levels? Do you have also (mild) gyno? I have heard about people who became hypersexual from lowering prolactine.

Be careful with Cabergoline, it has some serious side-effects.

I once tried cabergoline and it didn't work, it killed my libido and made me dizzy.
