A couple of overlooked pills

Postby Hawkman » Tue Aug 28, 2012 12:17 pm

The best fee advice I ever got was that a miniscule dose of the prescription drug Trazodone greatly increases night-time erections (NTE's) in many men. Most agree that these erections are necessary to a healthy penis.

As far as trazodone (Desylrel) is concerned , you can take it at less than 25% of a minimum dose prescribed for depression. It is also commonly used as a sleep aide and you don't have to take it every night if you just want occasional effects. I don't take trazodone for depression but for the side effect of nocturnal erections. My doctor told me that this low dose would have zero effect on depression anyway.

One-half of a tablet at night (with a bite of food), gives most men better NTE's than low dose cialis. I take 1/2 of a 50 mg tablet at least a few nights a week. Normal dosage ranges from 75 to 400 mg per day. Best of all, it is so cheap it is almost free. It is now believed that NTE's use different pathways than erections that result from physical or psychological sexual stimulation. As such, it is frustrating that these erections are gone within 2 minutes of waking. Trazodone can also delay climax which can be good. I cannot say I have noticed any significance when used for sex even in combo with typical ED drugs but some might.

Last night's dose was the best 3 cents I ever spent ;)

Another over the counter supplement that dose help mild to moderate ED is L-arginine. I will not go into dose and source but if you are unaware of this you miss a very important aide that even gives you better hang through the day. It is a known vaso-dialator that many body buildes use. It is a nitic oxide precursor and as such should be used with caution with Viagra because it could lead to severe low blood pressure.

It is often suggested that L - arginine be taken at not less than 1000 to 2000 mg per day in order to generate a desired effect. Unfortunately, l-arginine is difficult to be absorbed in the digestive system and as much as 95 % of it in pill form is passed through without being absorbed. If you want to derive the best results it is recommended that you consume it in powdered form dissolved in water or another liquid - green tea is often suggested.

I personally dissolve 5 grams of l-arginine ethyl ester in a glass of water about three hours in advance of sexual activity. However, at best, it only provides me with a semi which I can than bring to a full erection by applying a tight constriction band. It may not work well in my case because my ED is a result of 19 years of elevated high blood sugar levels and diabetic neuropathy.

I have also read that l-arginine AKG in powdered form works equally well. On the negative side, powdered l-Argenine has a horrible taste and often generates a headache as a side effect.

Ive been taking this 'stack'.
Well...I've only done it once about 2 weeks ago--and it seems to have worked.

-arginine powder
-citruline powder
-liquid Cialis
plus some OTC erection pill...
It worked that night.

I have to look up on this site about Liquid Cialis and proper dosage.
I've read to take it 24 hrs before.

Hi Guys can somebody tell me, why so most of you only rely on drugs for erections, I get soem many good erections, noctural erections, and morning woods, I dont take drugs, just herbs and a hormon, at the end of the day you will start to incress your drug intake, I know this because at the moment I'm working with a guy age 66, who cant get erection now after taken the big V for the last 6 years, I will tell you now drugs will get you in the end, and it will be at a time when you want it most.

Most likely because most guys are not as fortunate as you to have "nocturnal/morning erections" ... once you get past that stage, there is no choice but to turn to pills, pumps, and other options.

There is no evidence that taking Viagra, Cialis, long term makes them less effective. Rather the body itself changes (underlying condition gets worse) making the pills less effective. Most guys fail to properly address ED in the early stages, for whatever reason ... and there are many.

Taking "herbs" for ED is short-term at best ... however when you have diabetes, heart disease/high cholesterol, etc. short-term measures are a waste of time in the long run.
