How long before PDE5s (Cialis, Viagra, Levitra) stop working?

Anything goes when it comes to ED.

For how long have you been using/have used PDE5s?

Viagra worked for me for maybe 4-5 years, and I had to up the dose from 50 to 100 the last year. Then it started failing and causing me migraines. Went to injections next, and after 4 years those started failing. Tried generic Viagra again which did nothing but make me feel like I was in a sauna. Always hated using pills or injections because of having to plan sex or break the mood.

Mazzio
you dont mind asking on how are you using your Combination therapy?
- How long before injection do you take your 50 Mg of Sildenafil and do you dissolve it under your tongue?
- The amount of Caverject you are injecting?
Thank you

I started to use Viagra when I was about 40 years old. It did work about 10 years. I think that the reason why it does not work properly anymore is mostly age-related issue. Probably something happens in the blood circulation. It might also be partly a digestive issue. Levitra did never work for me. Cialis did work almost as good as Viagra but the side effects also last longer. Currently I use Sildenafil 50 mg + Caverject combo.

A few ideas:
- Pills work better when they melt under the tongue
- Pills work better if they are taken when going to sleep. You can try to have sex early in the morning.
- Sometimes I take a small amount of sildenafil in the evening just to get nocturnal erection. (Not to have sex.) 10 mg or even about 5 mg is usually enough for this.
62yo, divorced. on weekly 100 mg xyosted. ED at 50. Experimenting with the Trimix, Caverject/Monomix for dosage+ ved to maintain health. Prescribed daily 5m Cialis and 20 mg on demand.Viagra works better than Cialis. Researching implant as final solution.

Just a note to all the guys complaining that you have to plan sex with pills.

That’s true with viagra, levitra, and stendra, but cialis stays in your system 2-3 days, depending on dose, so you don’t have to plan sex around it. You can just take it with your vitamins and have sex whenever, assuming it works for you.

20 years and it still works if I don't consume much booze before hand. I Still use on weekdays a little and inject once a weekend to really knock it out the park.

I'm 46 years old and I always had some ED since I can remember. I've used Viagra since I was 26 years old almost every time before sex and sometimes those gas station wang pills you gamble with. My dose went from 25mg up to 150 mg. I've always had High Blood pressure since I was younger as it really runs deep in my family. I don't smoke but I do drink to much which I'm trying to get under control . I'm really fit and work out with weights at least 5 days a week. I don't use it much anymore because I like the injections on the weekend but during the weekday I can pop one 100 mg and it still gets me erect. But I can still feel the effects of a 25mg. I think a lot of my ED problems are more psychological then physical for the most. I believe why the pde5s sort of stop working is because people don't really address the underlying problems like drinking or smoking or weight loss which I can be guilt of as well.
