I see my Sex days are over because medicine I take for my high blood pressure. Past Blood pressure has been 239/100 and also have type 2 Diabetes and I'm on blood thinner and I'm 61 years old. What's really bad is I live with woman that love's sex because of her Bi-polar condition and I can't have it.

Thanks.

Is your blood pressure under control? I ask because I have high BP, got an implant and fuck my brains out. I don't know much about the diabetes impact, but there are lots of men in similar situations to yours having sex. Have you had a frank conversation with your doctor(s) about being able to fuck?

Oral phentolamine is an approved ED treatment in several countries but it was also used to treat high BP. Maybe you can discuss this with your doctor?

bro, please take care of the high BP issue first before the ED issue. you need to remain alive in order to have a chance to restore your sex life.

Take for BP Lisinopril 40mg once a day and Amlodipine 5mgs once a day and it's under control. The other day I went into a walk-in clinic and 27 year old nurse with long blonde hair with blue eyes turned me on big time. I thought I going to past out because my BP was going up. I was getting some of a hard on also even with my ED problem.

I'm unclear. Did you ever try the injections?

Your nurse story reminded me of one of mine. My PCP/GP at the time was a female doctor. A fairly young, fit and attractive lady wearing somewhat tight slacks. Anyhow, I've had a bad lower back for many years and that came up during the visit, the original purpose of which I don't recall. In discussing my bad back she suggested some exercises, (which I've tried in the past). But she gets down on the floor and proceeds to demonstrate pelvic lift exercises, laying on her back and lifting her butt off the carpet in a pelvic thrust. I'm thinking "DAMN that's hot!" Well the visit moves on to other topics and she gets around to asking me "How's your libido?" My thoughts immediately went to "Well you were pretty damn hot doing the pelvic lifts on the floor". No, I didn't say that but I probably should have. She already knew my humor wasn't always totally politically correct. She was pretty hot doing her demonstration. Yeah, I got a little chubby. I didn't have ED at the time.

I'm on lisinopril 20 with 12.5 hydrochlorothiazide. Only baby aspirin for a thinner and metformin for mild diabetes. Injections work great for me.

My family doctor told me I could have bleeding with the injections because I'm on blood thinner. My INR is 3.0 So I didn't try the shots. This been five years ago.

I think I'd bring it up with him again. There are guys on thinners that are doing injections. But I'm no medical professional. I don't even know what "My INR is 3.0" means.

Sounds like you need to have a frank discussion with a good urologist about using shots. If that don’t work it is way past time for an implant. I’ve been on BP meds for 25 years and used pills for ED for the past 10-11 and last November gave up on the pills and went to a low dose tri-mix. Working great so far although I am using double what I started with just 9 months ago. The day it gets uncomfortable or fails to work I’ll be getting an implant… sex is too important to miss out on. I’m only 55 and trying to wait as long as possible for an implant but have no issues going for it when I feel it’s needed

I thought I would answer the question on behalf of the OP.

I looked it up. Still don't understand it very well. :? This might help.
