preference for sildenafil over tadalafil?

Postby Implant_Curious » Fri Aug 06, 2021 2:12 am

I have now tried tadalafil on demand (10-20mg) as well as daily (5mg) over the last year. I have also tried sildenafil (50-100mg) and find it much more effective. I am bit confused, as I thought tadalafil would be the stronger option... does anyone else have preference for sildenafil? Can it used as a daily option at a low-dose, similar to tadalafil?
35 gay male, top/vers. ED complicated by long-term SSRI and quetiapine use as well as smoking previously. Currently on 5mg cialis daily. Also tried sildenafil 25-100mg on demand, all successful.

No, there is no stronger option. Everyone is different and reactions to these drugs vary quite a lot.

You should consult your doctor (urologist) and decide which one is best for you. There are currently 11 different PDE-5 inhibitors available today.

My #1 ED treatment for many years was tadalafil but it stopped working some time ago, so I changed to udenafil (brand name Zydena). I love udenafil because it has very few side effects and lasts for 24 hours. Sildenafil and avanafil only last for a couple of hours, so I don't think you can take them daily.

I also tried sildenafil and it was very effective but side effects may be unpleasant. My least favorite was a Brazilian drug called lodenafil (brand name Helleva).
Age 40. Psychogenic ED for over 20 years. Current regimen: Udenafil 200 mg, oral phentolamine mesylate 40 mg, Seredyn.

I've found Sildenafil 100mg works most of the time for me but Taladafil at 20mg doesn't work. Curious to try other pills in the near future to see what works.
British, 32 yrs old. ED caused by Paraphimosis in 2019. 100mg Sildenafil for sex. Trialled Invicorp as advised by doctor in 2021 but it was too strong. Taking 50mg-75mg of Sildenafil every night at 3am to stimulate morning erections, good response so far.

When they were working for me, I had better results with 100 mgs of Sildenafil than 25 mgs of Tadalafil.

I think as the others have mentioned it does depend on the individual. Tadalafil is the better option for me, less side effects and much longer effect of course. I get a very stuffy nose and facial flushing with viagra.
I think Viagra's short half life of 4 hours or so would make it not nearly as effective as a daily treatment.
Age 57, ED issues for 15-20 years. Testosterone replacement with Enanthate and Ovidrel. Currently using generic Tadalafil 2.5mgs and Resveratrol daily.
